UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM!! Old: Love it and makes life so much easier with stuff longer than 12in but wish it was more sticky! I don't normally like to pay for the Silhouette brand products, because they are so much more expensive than some other good alternatives, but I got this on a deal and I really like this mat for larger projects. I'll keep buying when I see a deal offered.

It was time for another one of these, I had used my old one for a couple years now. But of course I didn't throw out the older one, as I save and re-purpose as many things as I can. No I am not a hoarder. Because of the size I was so afraid that they would try to roll it up to ship -- like I got the first one from Silhouette America. Nope, it shipped in a flat box and had all kinds of protection packaging as if it was glass. Some would say overkill, but not me as I don't want any bends, wiggles, creases nothing on my cutting mats. Amazon is my go to store for just about everything, but of course I do look at prices. This mat was half the cost anywhere else. With my Prime membership I got it in 2 days, free shipping. So same product, cheaper price, free shipping, can't beat Amazon. ... show more

The mat is the same quality as the 12 by 12 mat that came with my Cameo. It has the same stickiness as the original mat, but it is covered in clear, not blue, protective cover, make sure to remove the cover to reveal the tacky surface. It tricked me when I first got it out of the package. Make sure to have enough space for your mat to move at the front and at the back of the machine. I am using the mat for cutting fabric - put fabric on the mat first, then cover it with clear Con-Tact paper to stabilize it, cut and then peel off the con-tact paper from the cut pieces. This way works if you do not need your fabric to have a stabilizer after the cut. I like that the mat lets me cut a whole bunch of staff in one go, I can use less material this way. ... show more

    • Silhouette Getting Harder to Find
It is disappointing that these are getting harder to find. It had a bend down the center and the plastic cover was loose there. It is less sticky there. I'm glad I was able to find it, but not what it used to be, that is for sure.

    • Helps me to cut longer designs and keep the vinyl straight so my design doesn't go off the edge! Works perfectly with my cameo.
I previously only had the 12x12 mat, but when I tried to cut longer pieces of vinyl the mat ran out or I would try to do it from just the roll. Well when I didn't use a mat and just fed the roll of vinyl in, it was impossible to keep it perfectly straight so my design would often go off the edge (I try to conserve vinyl so I cut very close to the borders). This mat is perfect to keep it straight and I can cut really long designs now without having to worry!!! Love it and have already used it numerous times since I got it a few days ago. :) ... show more

Been a ton of years and I use this mat still today. I couldn't ask for better. I can do several decals all at once in several colors etc.
