The box was labeled as 85 lbs, and with two we were easily able to move it to start unpacking and assembly. I would not move this alone. There were 6 major pieces (4 sides, top and bottom), as well as the feet and a hardware kit. Everything was in great shape from shipping and went together in about 30 - 45 minutes. I opted not to use the hand tool provided in the hardware kit and instead used a bit in my drill - with the torque setting turned down as to not overtighten anything. This saved quite a bit of hand turn tightening. For the lid hinges, I did hand tighten to ensure there wasn't any issue - fairly easy with the pre drilled holes aligning great. Will buy from the Ashley brand again, as instead of the Ikea jigsaw puzzle, I got a well presented and easy to assemble coffee table. ... show more

My mom has had her eye on this table for quite a while. We saved a good amount of money,($125 at least) plus free delivery, buying this on Amazon (prime day as well) instead of another website. It is a great and functional piece of furniture, the way it opens up for storage. I was worried it might be hard to assemble (we considered paying extra for that), but we were pleasantly surprised how it was basically pretty easy, especially if you have previous experience putting things together. Well made table easy to put together. Good price. The only complaints I have is the color. In the description states gray brown but it is just dark gray. It doesn’t go with the decor I have but I decided to keep it for the storage. It did have that horrible smell but after couple days it disappear. And has a few scratches but nothing major. This was a great deal for a piece that you can find easily around the $500 mark. The assembly was very easy in comparison with other funriniture pieces I have bought through the years. Everything was provided for assembly. It was a pain to unpack because of the sheer amount of packing materials but I felt a small price to pay to receive an unblemished piece of furniture. Everything is solid from the side panels to the hinges. The fit and finish was precise, no ill fitting panels or side gaps. We have gotten so many compliments about this piece! It was the perfect thing for our living room and it didn't break the bank. Currently, we have around 10 blankets and quilts stored inside, but we could fit more! Great for storage, adorable in my home!
