5 years review. Purchased in 2019 (then only $259 vs $479 now). My reviews may be long winded but they are honest - no payment, discount, refund or gratis product given in exchange for a review. After reading other people's reviews all I can say is mattress comfort is pretty subjective because I think this one is extremely comfortable. I feel anu negative reviews are just outliers. I'm 5 years in and like it even more now than when I purchased it in 2019. The price increase from $259 to $479 since then is telling. That's an 85% increase, which is still huge even when accounting for inflation. So sales must be strong enough to withstand it and I would still buy it today at that much higher price. I should mention that I originally purchased this as an inexpensive mattress for my spare bedroom. Where it was hardly used for 3 years. Then after moving and downsizing required me to merge the spare bedroom with the media room that I frequently fell asleep in. Eventually I found myself sleeping in the spare/media room instead of my bedroom because the mattress is so dang comfortable. I ended up finally just swapping my $1000 plush mattress with this $259 mattress in my bedroom and absolutely love it. It's like sleeping on a cloud with no pressure points. NOTE - I do have a 3 inch memory foam topper on the mattress. The topper was added back when it was in the spare bedroom as a way to "park" the unused topper without taking up closet space. While the mattress is perfectly comfortable on it's own, I opted to keep the topper on it because it becomes like an extension of the foam mattress without a sense of being separate, unlike when it was on my traditional plush mattress. Plus, the extra 3 inches helps make my deep pocket sheets fit better. The good thing these toppers are relatively inexpensive if you catch an off-brand one on sale or coupon here on the m'zon. That's my recommendation if your budget will allow. But you can always buy that later after you sleep on it by itself and make your own evaluation. Lastly, I must say that although I've had a couple of serious and unexcusable problems with purchasing from Ashley Signature stores, I still like their furniture and quality. But I wouldn't step foot in a store if I was being paid to, so it's nice having a way to purchase something I may still actually want to have without needing to buy from their stores. Just mentioning to the legions of others who might be averse to the brand because of this. ... show more

UPDATE COMMENT: Been a week sleeping on this mattress, all my back, hip, leg pain is gone. Have not felt this good in a very long time. Ditched a 3 year mattress which cost me over $1000 for this one. So glad I did. ( it is Med. to slight firm with a plush pillow top for a comfy feeling) I usually go for a softer mattress. Was concerned this one may be too firm. But it is so nice… best I have ever slept on. I was somewhat fearful of purchasing a boxed mattress. Looked at several. Chose because it had so many great reviews. I am happy to add my positive review to those. I worked hard to remove it from the box and all the packaging. Got to where I heard a hiss … knew I was about there. The mattress seemed to instantly come to life. I waited a few hours. But could not wait any longer. I added bedding and climbed in… I suffer from usual back pain. Was so surprised how quickly laying on this mattress soothed it. It is medium but yet a bit firm with a somewhat overlaying feeling of plushness. Absolutely a dream. LOVE IT!!!! ... show more

I enjoy a semi-soft bed, and my hips and shoulders appreciate it too since I’m a side-sleeper. I did a lot of research and took a gamble in this bed (since it didn’t have many reviews, but the majority seemed positive). I’m glad I did! I was having some pretty severe shoulder pain before using the mattress, and after a few weeks, it’s almost completely gone! The bed is softer than I expected, but to me it’s like sleeping on a cloud. I only get slightly uncomfortable when I sleep on my back (which is rare for me) but this could be related to my pillow. The bed was easy to unpack alone. The hardest part was moving it once I had it completely unpacked from all the plastic - you may need a partner for this. The bed recovered pretty quickly once removed from the vacuum seal. I was sleeping on it the first night. It firmed up a little more within the first week. I have slept on this mattress every night since I bought it. I’m very happy with my purchase! ... show more

Read lots of reviews before buying a mattress online. This was pretty much the only "plush" mattress with decent reviews. This mattress is for my 3 year old son so I was looking for something a little more plush since he's smaller. I was worried something more firm would be uncomfortable. This is very plush, myself and my husband both laid on it and sunk in pretty good. I would be surprised if this mattress lasts with regular use by an adult, IMO. The mattress was fairly heavy and came rolled in plastic. Once unwrapped it plumped up very fast. Some reviews say to wait 72hrs but I don't think that's necessary, we used it the day of delivery. The mattress did not have a strong smell like others mentioned. It also did NOT fit perfectly in the full frame per other reviewers, however once we got the sheets and comforter on and tucked in it didn't really matter. Again this is passable for a child's bed, I would probably be more picky if it was for an adult. Mostly because it is so soft I can't imagine it keeping it's form for very long. ... show more
