I do a lot of DIY electrical projects on my Jeep Wrangler. It's my favorite toy, and on/inside it I have tons of other toys. Whip lights, LED strips, LED pods, a big audio system, just on and on. I'm always thinking up new and interesting projects, and I recently go into remote relays. When I saw this one I had to try it. It arrived in a plain box and contained all of the promised hardware along with two remotes. Installation is pretty easy. Two terminals are connected to ground and power, the other two are the ones that are "joined" when you press the "on" button on the remote. What you put on those terminals depends on your project. If you're using this as a battery disconnect you just connect one to the battery and the other to the load. I have some different ideas. I decided to add an anti-theft measure to my older Jeep Wrangler. Since this is just a big relay then it should act like one, meaning I can use it to join any electrical connection, not just battery to vehicle. I used one of these to split the connection to my fuel pump at the fuse. Now when I press the "off" button on the remote it disables my fuel pump; the Jeep will crank but it won't start. Thieves likely won't think to look behind the glove box (which is an aftermarket metal one with a special key and would take some work to get into) to see and bypass this, if they even know what to look for. Overall I'm happy with these relay. There are some projects I have that I may be using this for, and I'm excited to see what I can do.

I followed all instructions three times and I have not been able to make the batter switch work. I had to buy other manual cut off which is so disappointing in having to open the hood every time. I'm either doing something wrong because instructions may have left some details out or the device is not working at all. I can hear the controller clicking but the battery switch continues to operate like normal/full power in the "OFF" position.

This product had a warning that it is often returned. I wanted to use it for a battery disconnect for a vehicle I use for towing. So since I don't tow often I usually drive a vehicle that gets twice the mileage and I didn't want to have to disconnect the battery every time I parked the tow vehicle to save the battery. This product will drain the battery and when you go to use the vehicle the battery will be dead. I am keeping it sibce I have a garden tractor that when I put it back in the garage I plug into a battery maintainer, so the fact that it draws the battery down isn't a problem, but it will sure fool anyone who tries to steal it sine it won't turn over.

Can't install it because the screw on battery cable is not long enough to go thru add cabel sent by cut off switch. now I have to purchase an extension bolt to even see if it works. Chinese Junk
