Very good selection of colors. Because these are color shift/chameleon paints, the color will change depending on the color of the background and on the angle of view. The paints are viscous and provide excellent coverage. I was pleased with the cost at the time of purchase and even more so after seeing how little paint was required. They are also waterproof and this feature was important to me. I used these paints on concrete, turtle shaped, stepping stones. I painted after applying concrete/cement sealer. I did not use any type of sealer after painting. The stepping stones have been exposed to multiple rain storms, bright sun, and people walking on them. These paints work beautifully for acrylic pouring (with a medium). The colors are bright and vibrant and don't get lost like some metallics have for me in the past. I wish my camera took better pictures. The gold really stands out in this one. Favorite brand of paints. The non-metallics in the painting are also Shuttle Art. Gorgeous. This collection of paint colors is absolutely incredible and it's one of my favorite, considering the cost. I was torn between the 54 set of paint and the larger set. Honestly, I went with the 54 set because it had a basic brown color that the larger set does not offer. The range of colors is just absolutely wonderful - I feel as though I cannot possibly reiterate that enough! I think it's a great set for beginners - the paint is super easy to work with and dries fairly quickly with a satin finish (as opposed to matted finish). There are two neon colors (yellow and orange), six metallic colors, and 46 paints that blend beautifully and have a strong pigment. The only frustration I have with this paint is painting multiple coats. I'll work on a 3D model, wait for the first coat to dry and start to paint a second coat. Instead of painting an even second coat, it picks the first coat up and makes it clumpy. However, this is inconsistent - sometimes the second and third coats are successful, even and dries perfectly; it seems to be dependent on the color. I hadn't used acrylic paints before on plastic models, but it seems this is what people use these days. The cost of enamel hobby paints today is ridiculous It took a bit of time to get used to these, mostly because the first coat is semi-translucent, and I did multiple coats in most cases.
