  • Great product!
Great product. I used it to wrap the foam around my air conditioner copper line to protect it from the element. Easy to use.

  • Good value; may need to wrap around foam to get the best adhesion Good value; may need to wrap around foam to get the best adhesion
I used this to secure a foam insulation tube (much like a pool noodle) around an HVAC pipe. At first, I thought I could be stingy and run it lengthwise along the seam. Wow, that did not work at all. The tape refused to adhere to the foam. I decided to use the age-old wrapping technique, and that worked like a charm (so far). It took forever to wrap it around the length of two 5' tubes, but I'm pretty sure it'll hold throughout the winter and well into the spring. The material is a bit thinner than I expected, and it will tear easily if punctured (no embedded fiber, so not like duct tape at all). However, if it holds the foam and doesn't crack/fall apart from UV exposure, I will be a happy camper. ... show more

  • Good with one caveat
This tape sticks very well to itself, but doesn't stay adhered to other materials unless they are very smooth. When I used this to seal up a long slit in insulation, it seemed to do well when applied. But two days later it's coming off. The insulation was that UV protective stuff on the outside. This was happening in the attic and outside. However, when I need to wrap around insulation so that it wraps onto itself, then it stays put. For long slits, I used that foil tape with the mastic, like foil grip 1402. ... show more

  • Works very well on rigid foam pipe insulation
This tape worked great for closing slits and gaps in rigid foam pipe insulation. It's thin and strong, and yet easy to cut. As a DIYer, I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of use and the firm grip it has on the foam. I will likely buy again if I tackle another pipe insulation project.
