This is a great, solid, well made Shure Microphone and it’s bundled with the XLR-1/4” plug that I needed. I’m using it primarily with my Roland E-4 Voice Tweaker for Vocorder and special Voice Effects. It's a very straightforward microphone with switch. The frequency response seems, from using it as a vocal microphone for both leads and backs, accurate with the description given by Shure: there's no high end to tame, if anything you can add a bit if you want air. Lows are just fine, no need to do any hi-pass. It's meant for vocals, it works for vocals. I ordered the trs-to-xlr cable one because I didn't have any trs-to-xlr, and works just as expected. ... show more

For me this is an adequate practice microphone. Especially like that it has an on/off switch. I use an old guitar amp for practice pa system and have had no issues with the microphone used through this amp; as a matter of fact, some of the amp effects can be used to modify voice.
