  • I was a dyed-in-the-wool SM58 guy until this mic came along
Style: Cardioid
I have used an SM58 for years and years. I scoffed that a mic could sound as good, or be as durable as my venerable old SM58. Until I tried the Nexadyne 8/C. It is worth every bit of the 300 dollars it cost. It is better than my old SM58 in almost every measurable way. It sounds better, it is crisper, it is just as durable, and the quality and workmanship is every bit as good as any high-end Shure product. Every time I use it, I like it more. Trust me. Spend the 300 bucks, and put your SM58 in the mic case as a backup. You will not be sorry. ... show more

  • GREAT!!!!
Style: Cardioid
For singers - this mic is one of the best live mics I've ever used.

  • Is it worth the price??
Style: Cardioid
That depends. I own three Shure SM58's, and when I used both of these mics in my karaoke show they seemed very similar, nearly too close to call. So the question is, are they worth paying three times the price for?? For what I do, I would have to say, "No." I would much rather have three new SM58s than just one of these. THAT SAID, if you're singing in front of extremely loud instuments (particularly like drums), with this mic's ability to reject extraneous sounds and its other qualities, it may be just the thing for you. I still gave it Five Stars because of its features and build quality. ... show more

  • Cordless Microphone!

The microphone is cordless! I was expecting to find other connecting accessories.

  • Awesome Mic!!!
Style: Cardioid
Wow is this a great mic. The guy sang a song. 10 minutes later he sang the same song with the Shure 8/C and was blown away by how much better he sounded!! So much so he bought one too!! Everybody could hear the difference, his voice was, its hard to explain but, sounded the way it should have sounded the first time! Like the voice was smother, richer, clear.... And when I use the Shure 8/C, it makes it tolerable, the noise I call singing!! Truly a GREAT mic... And if I am not mistaken, did I see this same mic all over The Voice? I think it is unless Shure makes another one that looks exactly the same? ... show more

  • "ABSOLUTELY" Worth Every Penny!!!!
Style: Cardioid
As a singer, I'd used the Shure SM58's for years, then a Sennheiser e935. I'd been checking out the online reviews regarding this Shure Nexadyne 8/c & 8/s mics. I decided to give these a try, though three time the cost of the 58's, but after using both the Nexadyne 8 c & s mics, I'm no longer using the others. I do not normally write reviews, but this deserved it! Both of these Nexadyne's have a very noticeable sound clarity. Vocals are crisp and clear. Feedback is extremely limited, so you really have to be "trying" to get any, they are also a well made, strong quality microphone. I bought the 8/c first, then the 8/s. Both are excellent and "Definitely" worth the price!!! ... show more

  • Shure Nexadyne Mi
Style: Cardioid
I just used my new Shure Nexadyne mic for the first time as a replacement for my trusty Sm58. I love the new mic; primarily because it tames the proximity effect most dynamic mics are known for. This is so valuable for live vocals, when moving in to sing (boosting the volume)at the bottom of my singing range, the vocal does not become boomy/bassy as it does on the 58. This is just what I need. Thanks Shure. ... show more
