I was trying to use this thread when I was trying out a new sewing machine. I kept having trouble with the machine and the thread breaking. So I switched to some name brand thread with the same problems. Then hubby came up and asked if I had any thread which is basically a joke here because I have lots of thread! And all types. He came back upstairs a while later and told me that the thread was very fragile and was breaking easily. He knew how work around that problem for what he was doing, but that told me that it probably wasn't going to work real well in a machine, but should be okay for hand stitching. I don't do a lot of hand stitching unless it is with embroidery floss and doing embroidery. It would probably work okay in a machine when you are stitching slow which the machine I was trying wouldn't do. Thank you for these. I appreciate getting to try them out. ... show more

I sew.... a little. I can make basic things, but as a mom, I find that I need thread constantly. I have 2 kids - both in scouts and both who love things like patches to embellish jackets and backpacks. I'm always sewing patches on. Unfortunately, I often don't have the color needed. Since I'm not an expert sewer, most of my thread I have laying around is black or white. Sometimes I cheat and try to color thread with a Sharpie, but...that's kind of tacky. I've been needing to expand my thread rainbow, and holy moly is this it! What I really like, too, is that I get the smaller and larger spools. Yes, I know the small ones are bobbins, but I'll mostly be hand-sewing. This should keep our patches secure and non-tacky for a long while. ... show more

So I got this to supplement my existing thread stash and to add some variety to it. I had mostly black, white, brown and navy, which I think is pretty normal, but this was nice because I don't have to run out and get special thread when I have a repair project or special project in the future. I do love the pre-threaded bobbins! The bobbins themselves are of great quality and fit nicely in my machine and the thread is well wound so it comes out smooth. I made a couple of table runners last week to try out the yellow thread and it was perfect. The stitches came out even and secure and everything worked the way I would expect it to! ... show more
