Nice for design building

I was excited to use these to make a pinball themed set of nails for a friend who went to women's nationals this year. I found these nails to be pretty easy to work with. The edge has that little bit on it from the molding process but I had no issue filing that off. I really like that the bottom already has a texture so it's one less step for me to do. They have a decent amount of flex to them before adding any designs, and after a few layers they get pretty rigid. I was able to build my designs on them and she has already worn the set a few times so they hold up well too. The shape is almond, though a little on the shorter side of medium. They have a nice clarity to them for more sheer designs as well, and I think over all they are definitely worth the price (4.59 at the time of review). In all, I really like these nail tips, and I would absolutely get them again. ... show more

We were looking forward to receiving these short almond nail tips, yet were disappointed as they are unusable. Maybe you'll get a better set. Then, you'll feel the value for the price, we didn't. Each nail has a small hole and dent and a nub like someone detached them from a mold or similar to when you pop out pieces for a game or model set and a little bit of plastic is left on the end. In the picture on the description none of the nails had this, so we were surprised. There is no stickiness to them, so you'll need to find your own adhesive or glue. I'm sure they are durable and might last a while, if you are lucky to get a better set. Do grab a rubber band for the box as after a couple times opening and closing it was no longer secure and staying shut. Also, the nail edges are a bit sharp against your skin. Overall they were almond shaped, yet some were more pointy than expected. We DID find the right sizes for both adult and our younger girl. Yet, the real deal breaker was that they were unusable without cutting the ends off and making them much shorter. And, we weren't confident we could get them looking nice afterwards to even put polish on them. Unfortunately, we can't recommend these unless you are prepared to return them and hope works out. These are good nail tips. The sizing is a little confusing, there is two of the same number and the numbers are out of order. But they are great for a shorter almond look! I like them.
