There are very few ratings for this here since I'm guessing most Shopify users who want this are buying direct. However, this is an excellent choice if you do everything through Shopify and sell at retail, pop-up stores, festivals, etc. It is a very well-built product that works hand-in-glove with the optional charging station. I tested it, and it suffered no hiccups. Since there are few reviews here, I suggest seeking out Shopify forums full of users for their take before buying. I ordered this card reader in order to be able to accept credit cards for my newly revitalized business. I know that there are many choices out there, I chose Shopify because it is one of the newer companies, and most spoken about in recent years. The simplicity to sign up, pay for the service and use the device couldn’t be better The device itself is compromised of very good quality material seems to be durable and even comes with a screen protector. I have yet to use it in action, but I am very confident that the service will be more than adequate and the device will do exactly what I need to. Doing some research online. Shopify services are very competitive if not a little bit better than others and this device as far as cost is also extremely competitive. I like how simple the device is I can put it in my pocket I can put it on a countertop. It’s very easy to use and display . I got this because we will be at a craft fair selling goods and I wanted my mom or my friends who are part of the organization putting it on to have access to processing credit cards if they wanted and this looked like a really good way to try that out. This was an amazing way to try it out! Shopify was very easy to set up and use, and the fact that this reader is wireless is made all the better, as long as you keep track of it and don't keep moving around like my mom did. I had to keep finding it for her. But other than that, this is a great tool to have if you want more than a cash only business when you go out into the world to sell goods. ... show more

Great device that connected easily. The instructions were simple and clear. The app walked you through the steps you needed to take. The device performed well and had a good battery life. Shopify does require a monthly subscription in order to use their services however.

    • Can't go wrong with official hardware.
It was serendipitous to grab this, as a spot as a local makers mart is opening up soon for the holidays. Shopify is a trusted platform and having their official hardware is great. I've only done test transactions and it's been great. Can't wait to put it through the ringer!

Got shopify for the store, and it's been reliable, trustworthy, and great customer service! There's a screen protector, and it hasn't had any issues scanning cards yet. It's a small enough footprint that I'm not worried about it taking space, and I've had success carrying it around to be portable.
