These bamboo back scratchers are lightweight, yet sturdy. The handle is extra long at 17" making it easy to reach all areas of my back. I've had both shoulders replaced, so I can no longer reach my back without the help of a scratcher. These have been amazing for me! Before use, I would recommend inspecting the backscratcher for any loose slivers or rough edges. These are easy to remedy by quickly using sanding paper to smooth them out. I noticed this on one of the backscratchers on and between the "fingers". I do like that there is also a loop to hang them so they're always in reach. If you’ve used one of these wooden back scratchers before you know they are pretty standard. This one has the same curve and teeth and is slightly longer than standard. I like this one a bit better because of the extra length and the handle is a bit wider. Makes it easier to reach spots on your back and apply more pressure. What I don’t like about these back scratcher in general is that the “teeth” are a bit too smooth and close together to really get a good scratch through clothing but that may be more of a B personal preference. ... show more

One of them had some rough cuts around the "fingers", but the other one was just fine. The only other issue I noticed was the wax, or seal they put on the bamboo has some rough spots here and there where it looks like it didn't cure correctly, but it doesn't effect scratching comfort lol. Not too bad, they scratch my back good, and I likes it :-p ... show more

First the good stuff: These are surprisingly sturdy and a very good length to reach every area of your back. They don't bend when used and have a nicely shaped handle that doesn't hurt the hand. My one nitpick is that the portion that actually contacts the skin is, for me, rather too dull and rounded to effectively alleviate an itch. It's kind of like scratching something with your fingertips, without the fingernails. Of course, this is a purely subjective opinion. What's right for me may not be right for you. Also, since these are just wood, this can be corrected with a bit of judicious sanding. Bottom line: At four for this price, it's a great deal! ... show more

Sure, you could use a spatula, pasta server spoon, or even a ruler but why not get the right tool... to get the job done right? When your other back scratcher (spouse, girlfriend, boyfriend, etc.) is nowhere to be found, these bamboo back scratchers help stomp out the itch. They're strong and sturdy, but there are a few issues of which to be aware. The first is course/unfinished finger cuts, which means there may be some potential splinters to remove before first use. Then I chose to use some sandpaper to make them very smooth and safe. Also, it seems that only the top side is finished with a light varnish or sealant, and the underside has none at all, so it may absorb oils from hands over time. But I'll have to wait to see if this will actually become an issue. Hey, they're back scratchers... a simply piece of wood. And if you have an itch, there's little no reason not to scratch it. ... show more

This set includes two bamboo back scratchers that are thicker and sturdier than I expected. They do a decent job at scratching and did not feel painful or leave any marks on my skin. I like that they are made of bamboo and not plastic as ever feel durable and are easy to wash. There’s also a nice loop attached to it that makes it easy to hang up for easy access. The only thing I noticed was that one of the scratchers had some unfinished wood fibers in between the gaps, which I removed before using. This has also served as a multipurpose tool in our home and works great for reaching something high on a shelf or drawing out countless toys that somehow always end up underneath the couch! ... show more

These back scratchers measure 17” in length, almost 1.5” inches in width at their widest point, and 1/4” thick at their thickest point. They are lightweight but very sturdy and should last a long time with normal usage. To me, a “back scratcher” sounds like such an “old-fashioned” item; but I recently pulled some deep muscles in my back/shoulder and my arm's range of motion was limited. These back scratchers worked great to reach places in my back that my arm couldn't reach and, in fact, I was able to reach every area of my back. That makes me think these would work well for elderly people or people that have mobility issues. I just have two suggestions – a) these came in a package of three and that is more than I need, and b) it would be helpful if there was a slight inward curve to the handle (rather than it being perfectly straight) as that would aid in reaching all parts of the back, especially for people with mobility issues. ... show more
