After completing a 70 mile gravel race in the rain, I needed to replace my GRX pads. These are difficult to locate and source locally, The supply still hasn’t gotten better as the pandemic comes to an end, so these are still pricey compared to re-pandemic prices. These are the exact replacements for Shimano GRX brakes. Fit and finish are typical Shimano quality. They install easily after removing the clip and screw. These are resin pads, and I wish at times that Shimano would make a metallic version for rough weather conditions.     • The breaks work, but no screw in box as was advertised

The breaks of course work well, but the image shows a new break screw that come with it. To my surprise none came in with my breaks and there was an obvious spot for it in the packaging. I would have thought it was a mistake, but I ordered 2 sets of breaks both of which were missing. I was disappointed because those screws are easily destroyed when replacing the breaks which means the breaks aren't as secure when you replace them which could be very dangerou. The company could be held liable for damages if the breaks fail. I don't want to give such a low rating but until they change the screw situation I have to do it. ... show more

As Matt wrote the Shimano website is hard to interpret and piece together. They need to improve that website and especially the links to "authorized dealers" which is a joke. Those links took me to Ace Hardware and other companies that have nothing to do with Shimano. I agree also that that the cheaper pads are ok if you don't mind noise coming from the brakes which I cannot stand. The Shimano brand pads are better but still not perfect. They are not worth the price to be sure. ... show more

These are great brake pads. As with most Shimano parts, they aren't cheap, but you can't argue with the quality. I replaced some L02A pads that were worn out and squeaking like crazy. Did quite a bit of research online trying to determine if the L03A pads were the official replacement for the L02A pads. As usual, Shimano product literature is often hard to piece together and interpret. I always seem to end up going to various blogs and cycling chats for the best intel. Not sure if these pads are slightly harder or softer than the L02A pads, but they seem to work great. By the way, I've bought cheaper, knock-off pads in the past for probably half the price but was unhappy with their performance. Going forward, I will probably just bite the bullet and stick with true Shimano pads. ... show more

These are the same exact brake pads for my Specialized Roubaix Expert with Shimano Ultegra Hydraulic Disc Brakes. I had to get a compatible pair at my local bike shop, but these are the real deal. I will replace them when the compatible pair wear down. Due to COVID-19, the supply chain is ruptured, so I bought a couple of sets as backups, as it is really hard to come by good replacement parts during these time. ... show more

Typically I like metallic brake pads on my bikes, but I love the feel and modulation of these pads. Easy to install at home, just remember to push your calipers back in before you reinstall your wheel.
