The ShelterLogic 10’ x 20’ GrowIT Greenhouse-in-a-Box with Easy Flow Vents is ready to build right out of the box. This easy access greenhouse delivers quality construction, easy assembly, and best-in-class value. Constructed from a 1-3/8” tubular high-grade steel frame, the greenhouse provides protection and a natural light source to your plants, herbs, and flowers. The steel frame has a premium powder coat protective finish to help resist chipping, peeling, rust, and corrosion. ShelterLock steel stabilizers add strength and stability to your greenhouse frame for a more durable plant shelter. Made from ClearView, a triple-layer heat bonded ripstop fabric, the cover is 5. 5 oz thick, waterproof, and has been UV-treated inside and out. The translucent greenhouse cover provides enhanced illumination, which is ideal for plant growth and protection. The Easy Flow roll-up side panels provide your plants with maximum airflow and temperature control. The included bungee cord fasteners hold the sides open while the hook and loop fasteners keep the sides down. With the Easy Slide Cross Rail tensioning system, the cover is locked down for a snug fit and squares up the frame, while Ratchet-Tite tensioning provides solid cover anchoring to the frame. The double-zippered front door allows walk-in access and can be rolled up and secured to your preferred height. The front door and back rear panel both have vents to keep air circulating. The greenhouse can be assembled in about 2 hours with 2 people. When your growing demands change, this portable greenhouse can be disassembled and transported easily. 15” auger anchors are included with your greenhouse kit for easy anchoring. I have my greenhouse up now and am happy that I purchased it. One of the structural tubing pieces was defective when I received it, but customer service was excellent as they sent a replacement piece promptly and with no hassle or expense. Erection does take more time than you might expect, but proceeded smoothly. All instructions are pictograms (drawings) and, if followed closely, will get the job done. I did have to call for clarification on one step (my husband thought it meant one thing - I thought it meant another). The price seems good for the size you get - especially since the structure is steel tubing rather than PVC. I hope it lasts. UPDATE: The greenhouse lasted two years (Spring 2016 to December 2017) before being ripped to shreds by 35 mph gusts today. The metal structure is still pretty much OK, but the plastic covering deteriorates from the sun and weather over time. It became obvious by about mid-summer 2017 that the cover would need to be replaced before using it another year. Figure 2 years max for the covering. ... show more

    • Poor design choices and poorLabeling make assembly an adventure

This is the third one of these I have purchased. They are adequate as a greenhouse in Zone 9b. For the life of me I don’t understand why they include three different lengths of carriage bolts whe one would make assembly so much easier. The design of the various pieces is also overly complicated.

After reading some of the negative reviews here I was hesitant to buy but we decided to give it a try. First off we got an incredible deal, we got one that had been returned and the only damage was the box plus we got it on prime day so more money was taken off soon the end I paid under $100 for the 6x8. Assembly was very easy and the instructions made sense for the most part. Took me about 3 hours to put it up but I was also just taking my time. In the end, its very well made and will do great for what I need it for. Will definitely be taking the cover off for the winter though as the snow we get will possibly cause damage to the cover. Besides, I bring my plants in for the winter anyways ... show more

We put this up last spring of 2020. It's now fall in 2021. Cover has held up great, and from the looks of it, will continue to hold up. The seams are holding up fine. Looks like it did the day we put it up. Extremely happy with it. Good greenhouse for the price. Likely there are some people who did something wrong when assembling, and put extra pressure on the cover, causing the seams to tear. We've had quite a few tropical storms blow through, and had no problems. Snowed last winter, again, no problems. I expect to get many more years use from it. Initial thought is the parts are all much higher than my first experiment with a portable greenhouse. Everything went together much better. Two complaints. Not all the part are labeled or the label is smeared. I went through them and guessed by the pictures what the part numbers were then labeled them. It took me a while. I got assembled so I guessed correctly. Good thing I assemble a lot of things. I had read it was portable. Too much of a pain to assemble to be portable. I will figure out the simplest way is to remove the tarp to save it from winter. ... show more

    • Better than expected.

The setup was quick and easy. The directions were sound. Many of the complaints from other reviewers seem to not be an issue. It does come with tie-downs, though they did not work for my soil type. It has plenty of bungies to secure the bottom air vents (Roll up sides.). It has survived three wind storms since setup; 20-30mph with 40mpg gusts. It took it like a champ. No rips at the seams as of yet. I did need to use all my stakes, I had several sets handy because I camp a lot. And I put a cinder block on each foot. The plastic was not as clear as I expected, however it gets excellent light and all my plants love it. The plastic is very tough, at least 6mil, woven like a tarp. I have worked with similar plastic before and it is supposed to block harmful UV and only let in the good growth spectrums. I did purchase a couple rolls of 6mil UV stabilized tape, just in case. Over all, it was worth the money just for the steel frame. It allowed me to have spring starts without driving multiple times to town to get building materials and is more sturdy than a PVC frame.
