I picked this up out of curiosity, and it’s surprisingly solid for what it is. The color-changing effect actually works—it goes on clear and shifts to a soft pink that’s flattering and not overdone. It’s subtle, but noticeable enough to give your face a bit of life without looking like you’re wearing makeup. Texture-wise, it’s more balm than lipstick. Smooth, lightweight, and decently hydrating. I wouldn’t rely on it as a deep treatment for dry lips, but it’s comfortable and doesn’t leave that waxy residue some tinted balms do. The watermelon scent is mild and fades quickly, which I appreciated. Packaging is clean and functional—nothing fancy, but it doesn’t feel cheap either. Wear time is average. The tint sticks around longer than the shine, but you’ll need to reapply if you want that freshly-applied look. It’s not transfer-proof, but it’s not messy either. Overall, it’s a good low-effort option for everyday use. If you want something simple, moisturizing, and with a touch of color that adjusts to you, it does the job. Is this magic?? This super moisturizing lip balm is great...but then you add in color changing and it's a whole new world! The ingredients are soothing and hydrating, great for any time of the year. While this is a pale green color in the tube, it magically becomes a soft pink after application. This is due to the pH ingredients that interact with my pH to make that color happen. Wild! This makes this the ideal lip balm to have on you so you can apply liberally, not worry about smudging, and add some natural color to your lips. There is no off putting scent to the balm that glides smoothly onto lips. I'm thinking about getting another one for my youngest daughter, where she can feel "grown up" with lip color without the commitment! ... show more

This is exactly what I was looking for! It's subtle. I added before and after pics. I don't wear daily makeup but sometimes that leaves me washed out. I wanted a very natural look but that would give my lips a natural, light, shade so I wouldn't look so drab in professional settings or when I meet friends out. This does exactly that!! And it feels great on my lips, like the way shea butter lip balms feel. Note that you need to reapply as often as you would with a lip balm to keep the color on your lips. Since it's PH reactive your color may be a different shade. On dark skin tones, if your pH reaction is as light as mine it may not show up well. I'm giving 4 stars because I wouldn't call this a lipstick, and I don't believe the product is as pigmented as a lipstick. I'd call it a lip balm with some tint. It works for me because lip balm with a hint of color was what I was looking for. If you want true lipstick I don't think this is it. But - if you are looking for natural-look coloring that feels great on your lips you may have just found it! ... show more

Overall I think this is a pretty good lip balm. I like to have my lips covered at all times (bad Chap/stick habit) ...as my lips get very dry, especially in the winter, but really all year round for me. This balm goes on with a thicker feel to it. It does feel very moisturizing. For me personally it doesn't change colors much ... maybe a tiny bit darker ... but my lips have some color to them. If you have pale lips it may turn darker for you. Although I ordered the "watermelon' .... it only has a very slight scent & no taste which is perfect for me. If you prefer more scent it may not be the one for you. It's not glossy but it will condition your lips. If that's your goal then I recommend it. If you're looking for color changing and a scented balm then you might be disappointed. It's priced at $6.99 (at the time of this review) .... it's a decent value for a conditioning lip balm. ~ 4.5 stars ~ ... show more
