I like that it was not too easy to activate (I was worried it might fall off the keychain and go off randomly) but it is easy enough to activate that if you were elderly or had little hand strength you could still easily activate it. I also like how aggressive the light and sound are. We tested this out in our home and it disoriented my husband and I for several minutes afterwords. This is perfect added sense of security for my morning walks and traveling/shopping alone. I would have given it 5 stars if they would have somehow linked the base of the alarm device to the top just to ensure it stays on the key ring if activated and is not lost. ... show more

Flashing light to attract attention when the pin is pulled from the device. It’s light weight, easy to use and has a convenient clip that you can use in a tons ways. It’s the perfect size. I bought a two pack for my mother and myself since I'm traveling out of the country alone for the first time in my life. Testing it out, it was so loud and the light is so bright that my father, who had a stroke 3 years ago, fell over onto the floor. Don't worry, he's okay, but know this-- it is startling. Wouldn't it be amazing if it had the same effect on bad guys?! Get it for the women you love in your life. For such a small and simple item, there's no reason not to have it.     • Ear splitting, but maybe too easy to activate.

This thing is absolutely EARSPLITING. I have no doubt that it would deter an attacker and draw other people's attention. I was holding it at arms length and I could physically feel my eardrums vibrating. My ear even started to ache a little after I deactivated it. Thats both a good thing because it helps with the whole safety thing, and a bad thing in case someone were to accidentally activate it to close to their ears. Its so loud that im kind of concerned it may cause real damage. That being said, I am a little concerned that it's too easy to activate. I think the pin could definitely have more resistance and it still be easy (even a little too easy) for children, elderly, or disabled people to activate. There isnt much resistance at all, however there is a definitive click/snap to let you know when the pin is properly re-secured. It's not that its too easy to activate either, but I wouldn't hang it off a bag or keychain. I think I'll personaly keep it in my backpack side pocket since I'm taking college classes and don't want to cause an interruption (or die of embarasment) if it were to accidentally get tugged or snagged. ... show more
