I know the picture shows it in the bag all folded up but after this blanket and pillow shams got here, I put it through the wash and dried low heat. I was so impressed at how rich the color was and true to the color shown on the listing. They are luxuriously soft and priced for a hotdog budget. I love that they’re thin enough for late spring, summer and early fall with only a sheet and the blanket and during the rest of the year can be combined with another blanket to keep me toasty warm. If you’re on the fence about buying these, please don’t hesitate! They’re well made and cover the whole bed and have plenty of overhang to cover the sides of the mattress. This was such a nice surprise! The velvet does not look cheap—it’s quite luxurious. Was worried a velvet blanket would be too heavy, but it’s a great weight. This is the avocado color and I love it—I was worried the would be too olive, but it’s just a perfect rich green.

This is the perfect comforter if you don't live in the tundra--I moved out of the tundra years ago--because it's lightweight but still plenty warm. It's also the right size for once. I cannot tell you how many comforters, blankets, and quilts I've bought over the years that in no way sufficiently covered my king bed. It's a lot. This one fits perfectly! The color is beautiful and it's so soft. The only negative is that my king pillows are absolutely swimming in the pillow shams. I had even restuffed them first so they're very rotund, but there's still probably 6" of extra length on the shams. This always happens, though. I don't know where one finds the gigantic pillows that fit in these shams, but I hope to find them someday. Maybe there are California king pillows? Anyway, LOVE the comforter and would recommend it highly. ... show more

This King sized quilt set looks luxurious, feels soft, and at a great price point! I am not particularly fond of velvet for bedding material, but I wanted something neutral, contemporary and with some texture (vs a print) and not a heavier comforter set. I like the tone on tone look so this color (Beige) looks elegant with cream and ivory accents. I wish more bedding sets were available in multiple neutral choices! This quilt set was packaged well in an air compressed bag, but once opened and washed, it fluffed up nicely. It is a little thicker than a traditional quilt that provides enough warmth like a heavy blanket would.
