The material is very light / thin and has visible space between the woven fabric which allow wind to flow through but also allows to see through when up close. I still believe this is a good purchase for the money because the shade does provide a reasonable amount of privacy.

Ordered this for my mother who, like me, is always concerned with privacy in and out of the house. Good higher quality for a decent price = good value. This serves three purposes. 1. Heat break. 2. Wind break. 3. Privacy. I feel a lot better knowing that my mother has more privacy in her little patio space that connects between her dining and bedroom doors. This combined with some polished stones, a sun shade and a custom fence DIY kit make for a good solution. Sun shade keeps the house cooler and allows for more usable hours in her mediation, relaxing, calming and now private space. While this calm space is still not complete this helps to see what the space will become. The neighbors house is a bit too close for comfort since there is nothing to block the view into the back of my mothers house which is where we are also building this calm space. Of course this neighbor is always peeking over from the window and outside. Commenting on everything my mother does. So annoying. Pros: Cuts down wind. Greatly improves privacy. Small heat break. Easy to install. Cons: None noticed as of yet. Overall, I would order again and am possibly looking to use one a bit differently than intended. Maybe in a diagonal vertical alignment offering a taller screen.

I love this privacy partition. It’s open weaved so air can flow through, but closed enough that my neighbors mowed grass and weed seeds won’t penetrate my yard as easily. My neighbor uses a riding mower and circles onto my yard when cutting his grass, which brings not only his dead grass onto my lawn and always keeps that area with weeds. I tried a smaller landscaping type fence, but he simply ran over it. This fence is stopping him from coming onto my lawn, which prayerfully will help my lawn to be weed free all around. It’s a sand color, so it doesn’t stand out too much, which I love, and it’s long enough to run from my backyard fence to the trees at the front of my property (about 50 feet). On those windy days we have (which are coming more frequently due to weather change), it’s holding up marvelously. The seam part is very sturdy and sewn together very nicely. The holes to attach it to your fence (or in my case, a line I strung up with very slender poles every four feet), helps to attach it and also appears to be very secure and strong (the high winds haven’t even made a stretch of anything yet). This was the most perfect answer to my neighbor bringing his lawn waste into my yard and keeping the peace at the same time. I absolutely love this partition and would highly recommend it as a partition for many different types of needs.
