It was really quick to close and smash your fingers if your not extremely careful. I recommend buying one with safety mechanism because every time you need to rethread it or adjust anything and it'll catch your fingers. Great for the price but was to much of a hassle although for small fixes it works great ... show more

I bought this item specifically for making a mask. It required some practicing to get the hang of it but once I did it worked well. It also takes a little bit of practice to learn to move the cloth through while holding the device and keeping the stitch in a straight line. But once you get the hang of it, it goes pretty smoothly. The only thing is that once the last stitch is made you will need to manually put in a back stitch and knot to secure it otherwise the whole thing comes undone. As a beginner to sewing it took me 2 hours to make the face mask with this tool. I would buy again and recommend it! ... show more
