This review may reflect more on Amazon than it does on Seville Classics, because it was a "like new" item sold by the Amazon Warehouse. Assembly was incredibly easy. Unfortunately, there was a hidden problem. The desktop uses six caster nuts that you screw hex bolts into in order to connect the desktop to the legs. Unfortunately, the caster nuts must have been almost entirely stripped out. After assembling the desk, as my wife and I began to flip it upright, the desktop popped off and crashed to the floor, damaging the finish and more importantly tearing in half a collection of tiny wires that connect the control panel to the motors. As a result, the desktop has a couple of chunks knocked off its finish, and the electric mechanicals for raising and lowering the desk are no longer operable. Probably $3 worth of defective castor nuts destroyed the desks looks and function. The package that the desk arrived in was also pretty banged up looking. I am hoping Amazon and the original manufacturer will be able to provide a new desktop with the electrical and controller attached. The legs of the desk I received are fine, and I don't see any damage to the electric motor wiring coming from the legs. The desk seems very sturdy aside from the critical defect. I'm hoping this is resolved quickly, and I will update this review accordingly. As an aside, I sincerely hope Amazon does not expect me to re-bundle this thing and take it back to them somehow. Easy to assemble. Seemed like great quality. Had it for one month and it freezes and the motors do not respond to the buttons. Very frustrating. Stuck up or stuck down. Too late for a return. UPDATE: The mfg sent me a replacement "brain" for the unit... Worked for a few months... and again, no up. no down. Expensive waste of time. ... show more

Very easy to assemble and I love using it. The reason it’s getting 3 stars and not 5 is because my desk came chipped. When I asked for a partial refund, they denied my request. They’re sending me a replacement top, but now I have to take my current desk apart and add the replacement.
