I read quite thoroughly all the other reviews about this product and didn't know whether I should go through with this purchase or not, but after switching to cloth towels for all my spills, I realized there is still a need for paper towels. (like when an animal has an accident of some sort...I don't really like using our towels and washing those towels with the other laundry...) Needless to say, I wanted to at least have environmentally friendly paper towels & found these. I received my product a day earlier than expect (yay!) And excitingly, my puppy made a mess for me to clean up right after they arrived. They held up just fine. Even when I wet the towels to scrub the carpet, the paper towel held together & no residue from the towels was left in the carpet. I read other reviews where people say their towels never ripped right, well, maybe they have taken note of those complaints and changed the perforation because my towels are a perfectly even & easy tear each time. My husband didn't like the price ($2/roll), but for the effect this will have on the environment in the long run- it is worth it. The plastic wrapping on each paper towel is LDPE #4 and can be recycled with your other plastic bags at your local grocery store; so that is a big plus, too! :) ... show more

As far as I'm concerned, these are about the best paper towels you can buy! One reviewer noted that you get a lot of paper towels and they last a long time. In my opinion, that's a huge plus. I think it is very convenient to have them shipped to your home and have them on hand. I NEVER run out of paper towels. As far as their intended purpose, I think they work wonderfully. No, they aren't soft, fuzzy, quilted, bleached, or have colored designs on them; nor do they smell like anything artificial. I don't think consumers realize how many chemicals go into a product like Bounty. If you use them to warm up food in the microwave, I think you are less likely to infuse your food with chemicals as with a mainstream product. With seven rescue dogs in the house, I use them for all sorts of nasty clean-up jobs and find them very adequate. I find they work well for cleaning mirrors and appliances as well. It makes me happy to have an alternative to what the rest of the world is using. I think different is good! If you really want to be environmentally minded, keep a stash of old bath towels, wash rags and hand towels on hand. Use them in place of the paper towels. I save the paper towels for finish work in cleaning and for clean-up jobs that are too nasty to put into my washing machine (yes, they do exist)! If you are chemically sensitive or have allergies, I would highly recommend you try this product! ... show more

I highly recommend this item to anyone concerned with the environment. I initially ordered them because of the number of paper towels we use in the care and cleaning of the snakes we raise. I love the fact that they are made using 100% recycled paper. The towels are also free of dyes, inks, fragrances and they are unbleached! These qualities are great for our snakes because reptiles are sensitive to bleach and dyes. Thanks to the "green" qualities of this product I feel that my reptiles are healthier as a result of my using them. These same qualities make them safer for use around children as well. I have also found that they are just as strong and hold up as well or better than the paper towels I formerly used in cleaning around the house. I will never go back to the name brand "pretty" paper towels. Function, safety and cost are the main criteria behind my purchases and these meet (and in some cases exceed) those concerns.     • Good product but currently increased A LOT in price!

Have used these for years and they’re good. Quality of thickness has lessened over the years but still a good product otherwise and my product of choice, if possible. if you’re looking for soft and/or super absorbency, these are not that but they are absorbent, do the job and better for our planet (which is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT). Currently not happy with severe increase in price on this one, as well as their recycled un-bleached toilet paper. i have noticed for the 3rd time now, during when paper products have become harder to find during the pandemic, that the price increased nearly $30 for each of these products and at one point even more, nearly doubled in price. It is not that the price increased permanently but only when harder to find, which is unethical, price gouging. like i said...still a good product, if it’s in your budget! 4 stars for quality, 1 star (which feels generous) for price gouging! ... show more

I moved from a rural area of Maine to a less rural area a though I looked high and low, especially natural food stores and Whole Foods, I could not find unbleached paper towels. These are very good, thick and absorbent. It’s priced a little high but not much and I wish they offered a two pack instead of only a six pack. But I will buy them again and recommend them to others. ... show more

Not as good as Bounty. Thin, falls apart when you get them wet; even when you double them up it’s not as good as a premium paper towel. If you’re not wetting them beforehand then they work fine though.

Love these paper towels! We, unfortunately, use a lot of paper towels and it helps relieve my conscience knowing that these are made from recycled materials. I also appreciate the brown or natural color as that works so much better with my kitchen color scheme; now when you walk in you notice the decore instead of the gleaming white paper towels, LOL! One final advantage is that there does not seem to be as much "paper towel dust"; you know, those little fuzzies that are released all over every time you tear off a towel? Yeah, way less of that with these towels. Only unfavorable quality is that they don't absorb as quickly as some other paper towels. ... show more
