The chairs came well-packaged, the parts are in good shape, and assembly is easy because all the pieces are well-labeled; it includes the necessary screws, nuts, and tools. The dark blue color is gorgeous. The instructions are easy to understand, with good illustrations. The chair looks robust, it's heavy and feels firm, comfortable for sitting for a long time, even for big and robust people. It has two cup holders, one with a slot so the cup is more secure and the other flat. The best trick to unfold: Go behind, lift first on the back part where the backrest is until get into the slot, and then pull again until it's fully open. After opening it, always remember to put the pin before sitting down. If the pin doesn't pass, pull the back part where the back is a little bit forward to make it fall better. To fold it, you just pull that part of the backrest towards you, and then push to fold it shut. The chair isn't too reclined, so you can comfortably have a conversation while sitting. Also, your husband, who is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 235 pounds, finds it very comfortable. ... show more

The SERWALL Adirondack Chair Set of 4 with Cup Holders is a perfectly fine replacement for Polywood and offers great value for the money. The chairs feel high-quality and sturdy, with a solid composite build that looks like it will last. Assembly was fun and super simple - I put all four together in under an hour. Honestly, those saying it’s difficult probably aren’t very handy. I used my own tools instead of the small ones included, which made the process even easier. All pieces were well-aligned, and the hardware fit perfectly. One tip: the nuts are self-locking and need to be oriented correctly, which some people incorrectly complain as not fitting (again, not very handy). This feature is actually what will keep them from loosening over time, so it’s a good thing. I’ve only had them for a day, so I can’t speak to how they’ll wear over time, but all signs point to a long life based on the build quality and finish. These chairs are easy to put together and are well made. The hardware and chair material is nice and does not feel cheap. The chairs are not the most comfortable. You sit up a little too much and your back can’t get into the bottom archway. They will work but we have bought others that are more comfortable. They fold nice and easy to store. Overall, I like the Adirondack chair. It’s comfortable and relatively easy to put together. I like the fact that it can fold for transit and storage. I had two minor issues with the chair. The first issue was with the final steps of the assembly instructions. Fortunately, common sense prevailed, but the last two steps (Step 7 and Step 8) gave the exact same written instructions for two different attachment points. The images for the steps were correct, but the written documentation was wrong. The other minor issue I had was the missing screw on the seat. In the photo you can see the hole where the screw was supposed to be. Having a lot of extra screws around the house, I was able to find a screw of the right size to replace the missing one. The two minor issues did not stop me from ordering another chair. Hopefully, the next chair won’t have a missing screw. As far as the incorrect instructions, it’s a good thing that the error occurred at the final stage. By that time, you’ve basically got the entire chair assembled so it’s easy to figure out how to attach the last piece. Oh, and the phone holder on the chair's left arm is an excellent idea, but the slot isn't wide enough to hold the phone if your phone has a protective case. However, the goblet holder works perfectly. The workaround for the too-small phone slot is to have a wine glass behind the phone to prop the phone up. ... show more
