  • Seems rugged, and worked right out of the box
Style: 100 W
I liked that most of the screws and other hardware were tight, with just a couple exceptions. Check the hinge screws, and the nut on the inside is an 8mm. I liked that once I got it connected to my 25ft SAE cable and plugged into my trailer, it worked right away. The hinged supports are all metal, and much more rugged construction than a competitors, which has plastic pieces that caused me to return it when they broke. A couple things I didn't like. The velcro pad on the plate inside the panels came right off with the controller, and I was particularly careful because I had read other reviews where this happened too. I removed the remaining rubbery residue from the plate, and I glued the velcro pad back on the plate with some CA glue & accelerator. The other thing I didn't like is the controller (seems pretty cheaply made) didn't come with a pigtail that has an SAE plug on one end and bare wires on the other, which would make it compatible with many RV's and trailers that have SAE sockets mounted to their sides. My controller and panel edges had some wear marks. Not sure if this was a return maybe. 11/22/23 update. Very happy with this panel after my recent trip into the Idaho mountains for 10 days. Weather consisted of some sunny and some cloudy days, and one day it snowed. I have dual batteries on my TT, and I run a CPAP all night. In the past I've had to run my generator every two days to charge the batteries, but on this trip I never had to fire up my generator! Additionally, I left the panels and controller plugged into my trailer even through the night to see if the controller would use much power. I doubted it would, and it didn't. So, no plugging and unplugging the system at morning and night. I've changed my rating to 5 stars because the system just flat worked very well. ... show more

  • Well worth The Money
Style: 100 W
A really decent quality build solar panel. Outperforms my 2nd. Gen Harbor Freight 200 W panels. A good 20+ volts no load in strong sunlight. Easy to setup, and the legs aren’t flimsy like so many other panels out there. The controller looks a bit cheesy though. And I admit I never used it. All really have a way better controller in the system. Out in the sun every day now for a month. And looks just as good as the day I set it up. So it seems to hold up to the weather and Summer heat just fine. ... show more

  • I'm a Novice and it looks good. Wish it had more instructions.
Style: 200 W
This is my first real foray into solar power. I wanted to start off small, portable, and inexpensive. I found a 50% off deal on a Grecell T1000 Power Station an pulled the trigger. It recommended a 200w (max) PV input to charge it. The Serenelife portable starter kit fit the bill and at a great price! The kit comes with the charge controller and several output cords to make it very adaptable. Being a noob to this my only complaint I wish it came with more complete instructions. I am 90% sure how to hook it up, but want solid verification so I don't screw it up. I am scouring the internet and their website to make sure I don't hook it up incorrectly and mess it or the T1000 up. I will update as this evolves. ***UPDATE *** After looking at several videos on Youtube (city prepping and Wil Prowse are excellent resources!) I now understand how to set it up. I will update again once I use it more. ... show more

  • I am impressed
Style: 100 W
The media could not be loaded. Very easy to set up and start charging. Works as it should. It's sturdy and looks like it will last. Be sure to store it in the enclosed bag when not in use. There's simple instructions provided.

  • Portable Kit perfect for charing your battery bank
Style: 100 W
I have been using the solar panel for a few weeks now and have enjoyed using it. The panel folds and locks securely, making it easy to transport and set up. The charger comes with a velcro back that holds it in place when you are moving around, and the cords come in a soft bag making them easy to keep together when you aren't using them. I would highly recommend it if you are hooking it up to an RV, charging a battery, or most of all if you have a battery bank since the adaptors let you connect straight to the panel. ... show more

  • Nice job
Style: 100 W
They worked perfectly, easy to set up. The controller doesn’t want to stick, but that was maybe out fault!

  • Powerful, Portable, Compact and Versatile.
Style: 100 W
I find it to be excellent for what I use it for. I keep it in my car, and since it is a hybrid, where for example the Air Conditioner runs on battery, this solar panel can keep up with the drain, and make sure that I do not run out of power. Also, I have a 110v outlet inside my car, this solar panel gives me peace of mind that I wont run out of power. Obviously is the usage dependent on what you want it for, in my case, my hybrid car has lots of battery storage, so it makes sense to add power to it via a solar panel. I use it for trips, like to the beach, also in a emergency I can charge my car, but you will depend on sunlight. ... show more
