The gift I gave myself in 5 minutes...
There's nothing better than instant gratification, electronic gift cards are great especially if someone is the type to misplace their gift cards, or anything in general.... But you can't misplace your email!! I have flash shipping on my Sephora account which means anything I order online I can get it in 2-3 business free shipping, no minimum amount necessary--when ch is great except that I don't like lots of little purchases on my card because of this whole "no minimum shipping" deal. That's what I do, I buy gift cards for places I know I'll have lots of little purchases for here and there so I don't have like 10 pages worth of transactions each month. I love that electronic gift cards are so easily accessible, I even have the option that use a barcode for the gift card on my phone if I want to use it in store as well. As soon as I bought it, I received the email in 5 minutes, no longer than that and jumped immediately onto the site; there was no need to wait several business days to get it in the mail, it was instant gratification right then and there. Honestly if I needed to send someone a gift and forgot about the occasion until last minute, a gift card delivered via email is best way to play it off as though you never forgot. Also, the email delivery option is the most environmentally friendly, and saves on shipping costs and the waste of mailers and and space spent trying to deliver it, and in the event that you lose the physical gift card, you lose out on the value in it versus having the cyber one safely saved in your inbox until you use it all up. Smartest purchase anyone can make... And no, I did not have an issue like some have previously stated about the balance being zero before they've even used it. I made a purchase on Sephora.com and have already received it with no problems in regard to the gift card.

This feels an awful lot like a fraudulent practice. STAY AWAY FROM GIFT CARDS THROUGH AMAZON.
Do not, do not, do not. I repeat. DO NOT purchase an e-gift card through Amazon. I should have listened to the other reviews, but there were so many positive ones that I thought it must be a fluke or a glitch for some unfortunate people. I received the email with the gift card number and pin number. I went to Sephora to check out what I had in my cart, plugged in the numbers, and I got a message of this gift card has a 0$ balance. Thank God, it was only 25$, but that's still 25$ I'm out if the gift card team my complaint was issued to doesn't refund my credit card like they should. Amazon customer service is a dead end, too. They'll try to get you to contact Sephora's customer service instead, but I'll tell you, right now, Sephora will do nothing for you because you purchased the card through Amazon and not THEIR company which issues Sephora gift cards through a company called LGCS Inc. Amazon gift cards and e-gift cards are through a company called ACI. Here's Sephora's legalese: Sephora Gift Cards, eGift Cards, eGift Certificates, and Promotional Cards issued in the U.S. are issued by LGCS Inc., a Florida corporation, which is the sole legal obligor to the cardholder. Neither Sephora USA, Inc. nor any of its subsidiaries or affiliates (including Sephora Beauty Canada, Inc.) other than LGCS Inc. shall be liable to a cardholder with respect to Gift Cards, eGift Cards, eGift Certificates, and Promotional Cards issued in the U.S. That should tell you everything you need to know that they can't and won't help you. The Amazon customer service representative that I spoke with was very polite, but he wouldn't do anything for me, just forwarded my complaint to the Gift Card team. I'll edit my review if they actually contact me with 24-48 hours like is promised in the email and whether they issue me a refund. But either way, stay AWAY from gift cards from Amazon.
