i needed a classic swept back bar for a cruiser e bike i just bought. these bars have a classic pre war profile i needed, and are made of a lightweight alloy. they have held up nicely to the 20 plus mph rides these past few weeks and were long enough to fit my juice brake handles, shifters, and full size grips- and a boxer bell. the finish is indeed painted, so components will scar the finish. i didnt mind this as i have touch up paint and put the components on carefully and dont plan to remove or change them. overall, a low cost and stylish bar for classic english three speeds, a sportier choice for a cruiser, or city bike ... show more

Was disappointed to see that these are just traditional cruiser bars, I was looking for what is in the picture which compensates for the reduction in reach of the back sweep what I was sent also had previously been installed so I’m guessing that people have also ran into this issue. I’m probably just going to get a longer stem. ... show more

These have a nice backward bend, but not as much rise as a Northroad type handlebar. They have plenty of grip area for grips, brake levers and shifters. They also have a nice finish on them. They were better than I was expecting and would buy them again.

    • NOT POWDER-COATED, just Painted, and SCRATCHES EXTREMELY EASILY
Bar is not powder-coated as appears in ad and as is COMMONLY DONE WITH HANDLEBARS because you're moving around controls on them and tightening and loosening stuff all the time. Thus a POWDER COAT baked-on finish is needed or, AS WITH THESE, THE HANDLEBARS SCRATCH IMMEDIATELY. We installed one of 2 sets of bars we received and every tiny little thing we put on it INSTANTLY SCRATCHED THE PAINT. We were covered in paint flecks by the time we were done and had to touch-up areas with paint marker, and that's not something that should ever need to be done on new bars. I fear to think of what is going on under the grips, and when they will break loose because the paint under them breaks loose. If you're going to PAINT these, you should at least sand and PRIMER them first -- this was NOT done, and you need to use a very DURABLE paint that mimics a powder coat. This was not done with these handlebars, so even the second best method was not used. Instead it was just a quick single coat of black paint put on to these bars. Considering the cost you pay for them, this was a CHEAP way to do this, and we will probably return one of the 2 that we bought. The other is now in place and I don't want to REMOVE and RE-POSITION everything on yet another new handlebar that I would get to replace this one, and it's touched-up already. But I would NEVER AGAIN BUY THIS ONE and the seller should not offer such junk on Amazon. ... show more
