I set up a large speaker (Roland KC-550 keyboard amp) for family karaoke night, or for parties. Feedback is an issue handing the mic from person to person. It's nice having an on/off switch so when the thing is being passed around it doesn't make the speaker feedback and squeal. Also Sennheiser e835 mics are just great anyway. They are like the SM-58 but sound better. I would easily recommend this mic for anyone who needs a great sounding dynamic mic but also needs the ability to switch on and off at the mic. ... show more

sennheiser mics are very impressive. This particular one has greatest sensitivity in it's price range. I have problem making people understand that they need to be close to the mic for it to work well, but this one has better gain and at least I have a fighting chance of them being heard.
