I used a pair of these for years when I was younger. I got sick of replacing the cable (which you will have to do every so often if you use these headphones heavily) and regrettably replaced them. These are lighter, far more comfortable and built better than the budget JVC headphones I've been using for the past several years (model no. is worn off, they were highly recommended for the sound quality to price ratio, but those JVC's were creaky, which I lived with but won't miss at all). Best of all, the sound quality is better, especially on the mid to high end and these aren't even broken in yet. Lastly, these are now almost half the price I paid over a decade ago for the same headphones and I'm pleased that they're still made in Europe (Romania). ... show more

I bought these because I have never been happy with the various earbuds that I have purchased over the years. They never stay put in my ears. These headphones only weigh 4 ounces and are comfortably snug on my head. I don't know if they would stay in place for jogging, but I am using them to listen to Enya (etc) on my back patio while watching the stars come out at night. The low bass is a few dbs down from where I would like it. But other than that, they sound great. I was concerned about the sky high impedance number, but the phone is handling it just fine. I was disappointed with what is called the industry standard. The sound was ok, not great. Hardly any bass sound. There was not layered sound. I knew when I purchased they wouldn’t cover the whole ear but thought the sound would make up for that. It didn’t. Covering the ear is best. I do like that each part is replaceable.
