I needed a leaf rake before the leaves started falling this autumn, the 3-in-1 leaf rake seems to fit the bill. I was just looking for a large rake but besides being large it also has detachable leaf scoops. The rake arrived in pieces, so some assembly necessary. However, it only took several minutes to have the rake completely together and ready to use. The rake is not heavy but does seem to be sturdy. The rake is made from metal and plastic. I was pleasantly surprised how well the dual-angle head works for complete leaf gathering. I like the fact that it has detachable leaf scoops to use if and when I need them. I usually just the scoop part in the spring when I clean out the flower garden. Since leave raking season hasn’t begun yet I can only predict that this rake will last. It seems durable but time will tell. As for the price it seems average for a rake this large with leaf scoopers too.

I was honestly surprised by how heavy-duty the handle feels on this 3-in-1 leaf rake. The handle comes in separate sections that simply twist together, and once assembled it feels much sturdier than I expected. One of my favorite features actually wasn't something I thought about when ordering it: you don't have to use every handle section. I can leave one section out and suddenly the rake is the perfect size for my smaller kids to use. They love being the "big helpers" when we're working outside, and they're able to actually rake with this instead of struggling with a full-size adult rake. The rake head is clever too. The two sides stay securely attached while you're raking, but they're easy to remove and turn into large leaf scoops. Instead of trying to grab huge piles of leaves, grass clippings, or other yard debris with your hands, you can scoop up a surprisingly large amount at once and dump it directly into a bag or pile. So far, the tines have stayed securely in place and have enough flexibility to rake effectively without feeling flimsy. I originally thought I was just getting another leaf rake, but the adjustable-length handle and removable scoops make this much more useful than a basic rake. Being able to quickly turn it from my rake into a kid-sized rake is probably the feature we'll end up using the most. Great little yard tool for getting the whole family involved.

I really like the versatility of this rake set. The construction feels solid and well made, and all of the pieces fit together securely without feeling flimsy. I especially like that I can quickly switch between using it as a full-size rake, a single-head rake for tighter areas, or detach the heads completely and use them as handheld leaf scoops. The curved tines have enough flexibility to grab leaves and yard debris without feeling like they’re going to snap, and the detachable design makes it much easier to work around shrubs, corners, and smaller spaces. The telescoping handle is another nice touch, and everything breaks down fairly compactly when it’s time to store it. Overall, this feels like a high-quality yard tool rather than something I’ll need to replace after one season. A useful feature is the ability to separate the two halves and use them as scoops for picking up the collected material. Unfortunately, one of the retaining screw holes was stripped, allowing the screw to fall out, although this does not currently seem to affect the rake's use or durability. The versatile scoop design is useful, but the stripped screw hole quality issue and relatively high price for a rake reduce its value.

This leaf rake works well as a standard pull rake for regular yard cleanup on a quarter acre lot, but the genuinely useful innovation is the ability to split the head into two handheld leaf scoops. For getting leaves out from under rose bushes and shrubs where wind piles them up against rocks, using one half in each hand to grab and pull rather than leveraging a full-size rake makes a real practical difference, collecting far fewer rocks from the garden bed in the process. At 2.2 pounds the weight is light enough for extended yard work without fatigue.
