Features

  • Semi-enclosed humbucking pickups make full use of the characteristics of a semi-hollow guitar, allowing you to play high strings without harshness. The guitar's warm but distinctive midrange is highlighted by the fact that it doesn't produce an unnecessary low frequency sustain
  • Purple wood fingerboard with Maple Top Veneer and Canada Hard Maple neck gives you clear, penetrating cleans and dynamic overdrive tones without drowning your voice in a wall of sound, even with peripheral effects
  • The red sandalwood fretboard and mahogany body allow this guitar to maintain a well-balanced frequency range while no deformation due to changes in humidity, suitable for indoor or outdoor performance gigs
  • The T-O-M Bridge and jazz Tremolo system are very stable, allowing you to change strings and tunings without causing the bridge out of position, and the strings wont falling out of their slots during quick chording
  • Ploylacquer gloss finish and flower inlay will make you stand out from the crowd and attract attention quickly

  • Awesome Guitar
Color: YELLOW
I've been playing guitar for many years and if this was my first guitar I probably would be a better player. It arrived in perfect condition and is a great player without set up. Make sure to de tune the strings before adding the spring for the tremolo bar and then exercise the strings after re tuning. Mine stays in tune perfectly. Fit and finish on mine are perfect. The neck is smooth...the frets are filed and even. The finish is a beautiful yellow gold with bright silver hardware and amazing tailpiece. Pick ups sound good. Pick up volume and tone controls are a little different but make sense. Fret inlay is beautiful, but I need to retrain myself to use the neck dots. Action is low and fast on mine. For the money...this is an amazing guitar...in my opinion... and you have a choice of blue or yellow/gold..and it looks really cool. You also get a cheap gig bag, an extra set of strings and some picks. I'm a believer and if you have $230, Don't hesitate on this one. ... show more

  • Stunning!!!
Color: BLUE
I'm really impressed with this guitar. It played great right out of the box and looks STUNNING! The finish is flawless. This guitar plays really well.... action is pretty low, so not much adjustment needs to be made. The guitar feels solid in the hand... does not feel cheap or like a toy. Electronics work great, I can't find any issues. BIgsby bar works great-- be aware that the spring for the BIgsby is in with the extra strings, hex rod, and pick, in a small ziploc plastic bag. To install the spring simply detune all the strings and lift up on the bar until you get enough clearance to seat the spring. Very easy to do. The guitar also comes with a bag for the guitar. It is not padded. There is also a fairly detailed sheet explaining how to adjust the truss rod, if adjustment is needed. All in all, I'm speechless how little $$$ this guitar cost!!! Steal of the year, for sure! Just WOW ... show more

  • If you're realistic, you'll be happier.
Color: YELLOW
At the time of this review, I bought this for 199 and that's about what I expected to get, so I wasn't too disappointed in what I received. It's a decent guitar, but don't expect some top of the line return for your money. It did come in really good shape, with no real blemishes or flaws and was packaged better than any guitar I've ever gotten in the mail. Everything was sealed in a molded foam coffin, inside a coarboard box. As for initial inspection taking it out and set up needed: The actual color was a pale yellow, not that bright vivid yellow in the pics. It's not a deal breaker, just different than I expected. The neck 'felt' a little rough. I ran a scrub pad up and down it a few times and that took care of it. I'm not a fan of the bare feel, but that's preference, not a knock on the guitar. The fret ends needed a little touch up. They weren't jagged, but a better job could have been done on them. Very minimal work. Everything was straight and true. The finish was well done and the fret board looked nice. I suppose I got a decent one. The action was higher than I like. I have to play around w adjusting the bridge and seeing if I can get it closer to suit my tastes. Initial issue is the frets are bigger than a baby's arm. It will be a compromise to be comfortable without buzzing them. Even as is though, it ISN'T horrible, just different. It feels like playing a mini acoustic compared to the action on my LP. The strings are trash. Just order new ones to go with it. I was hoping I wouldn't have to restring the Chigsby from the start, but there's no way around it. I'm not even bothering w the set they sent. As for the Chigsby, it's cheap in all aspects. It works, that's it's saving grace, but don't set your expectations too high. The tuners while cheap, were tight and work well. I've heard of people needing to replace them, and I probably will too sometime, but for now, they hold. The guitar itself, while well made, still feels cheap as well. As I said, it 'feels' like a $199 guitar, whereas my IYV LP costed $147 and felt $300-400. It does have a nice sound. Despite everything, the sound was what sold me in the videos I watched and it came through. I actually like the pickups a lot, which in the end, is the reason for playing it. I can make everything work because of that. Overall, it's worth giving a shot for a novelty unknown guitar. It has promise if you keep an open mind. I think with a little more fine tuning and getting used to it, I may even like it more. After string change and final setup EDIT: I put a set of Ernie Ball 9's on it and adjusted everything to a point I'm comfortable with. The action is still a little high for me, so it still feels like playing a mini acoustic, but part of me appreciates that now. It is it's own monster, so I let it be and stopped trying to fight it. The truss rod nut is garbage. It worked when I tweaked it, but I'd have my reservations on messing with it too much. Again, it was a cheap guitar. I expect cheap parts and shining a light in there to see it, confirmed that. I realized the Chigsby spring is inconveniently large and the bar sticks out far enough to stab anyone nearby. I don't like people, so that's fine, but it also made me realize that getting it in a case or bag is going to be a major pain with having to remove the spring every time. Just a note. Playability and sound: My opinion actually went up. The pickups are crystal clear and it sounds awesome, for what it wants to be: An electrified version of a bright, twangy acoustic w a Bigsby. It's unique. I appreciate it as it is and since I play some Blues and Country, it really works for a lot of that, but it will never be a replacement for my LP for playing other things. If you want a different sound, get a different guitar. This thing is one of those specialized sounds, that does a few tasks, but does it well. ... show more

  • A great guitar for a great price.
Color: YELLOW
I recently watched a video on YouTube of a review for this guitar and it intrigued me. I thought about checking it out for a while and then decided to pull the trigger and order one. I was not disappointed. It plays great, the fit and finish on it are amazing for the price and it has a unique tone that I have not heard from any other guitar I have owned. If you are looking for a guitar that is stunning, plays great, sounds incredible and doesn't cost a fortune, the Zuwei TL series Semi-hollow might just be what you need. ... show more
