First off the power station arrived a day early without any notice so that’s awesome. I’ve owned dozens of power stations/power banks over the last decade, but this is the largest I have purchased to date. I generally prefer generators but have gotten into solar more recently and want to get a few of the larger power stations. Before I get into my review let me just say this: Segway got the charger right! I was pleasantly surprised how well the Segway LM-500 was packaged. The last few power stations I have purchased have been in very cheap/generic boxes with cheap styrofoam linings. This came in a very easy to open yet secure box with a plastic handle and foam cushioning inside the box. Inside the box is a smaller box with the AC charging cable and the DC 12v plug. This power station does require an app to start working properly. If you turn it on without registering the power station in the app, it will keep beeping/chiming at you. A little annoying, but the app itself is quite good. Once you register and update the firmware, it’s just like any other power station, ready to go. So far I’ve powered everything from a vehicle fridge to my cell phone. I haven’t run it through its paces with the larger appliances but it seems to work quite well. Also used it with a corded electric impact gun, dremel, and hot stapler(plastic welder) and all of the aforementioned tools worked like a charm. I have not yet tried it with a solar panel but will update when I get the chance. So far, I give this power station 5 stars! Perfectly fine UPS battery backup. Just note it does not connect to app via WiFi. Only Bluetooth. And also, that initial set up is a bit tricky and reason for many 1 star reviews. When app is pairing with device first time you need to power on device and then briefly press power on button to confirm pairing. The Bluetooth icon must be flashing on Segway device display for pairing to work. Afterwards everything is as normal. Software updates works fine. Seems to support 130 volt input and quiet mode is basically silent. UPS is promised to be <20ms. The led light can be default turned off in app. We bought it for $250 on sale. ... show more

Was excited to receive the solar generator, love the build quality chose Segway because they make some tough products, but when connecting the charging cord within seconds the E14 error is produced AC inverter error supposed to be for AC output error and the unit will not charge. Really a bummer I like the product but if it won't charge it's useless. ... show more

New firmware allows to set AC charge power limit. That is very nice if you don't want to use 1200W contiguously. Solar charge is working fine. And 1000W output is no problem. It did not seem to overheat. One of the screws for the bottom corners of the battery fell out the second I took it out to the box. QA seems to be lacking JFYI. I was able to screw it back in and the battery seems to be working probably. I guess the 5 year warranty will come in handy if something breaks.

Quality seems to be up there with EcoFlow. I wanted another one this size and the deal on this was just too good to pass up. Plus I trust the Segway name. The activation is very annoying because of that beep, but it connected quickly and that stopped. You also can turn off the beep in the app so that’s nice. I hope they demoted the engineer responsible for that constant beeping. I own EcoFlow and Jackery stations and neither do that. But setup was very easy no problem. Initial impressions are high. I love it. Quality seems high. I love the flashlight something none of the others have… which surprises me because I always thought who needs a flashlight! Well it’s a great idea actually. Of all the ones I own Jackery has been the biggest disappointment. Some coil broke inside it so the AC stopped working. Tossed it. Their solar panel which came with it was replaced under warranty already after I believe two uses. My EcoFlow max 2 and Deltas are knock on wood going strong and used daily. This will be added to the collection and I’ll report back if anything should arise. My recommendation is avoid jackery. EcoFlow I highly recommend and so far I like the Segway I must say. I recently purchased the Segway Cube 1000 and I’m really impressed — this thing is a powerhouse (quite literally). The 2200 W output is plenty for my needs, and knowing it can expand up to 5 kWh gives me total confidence even during extended outages or off-grid trips. The LiFePO4 battery feels rock solid and the whole unit has a tough, heavy-duty build that seems like it’ll last for years. I love the flexibility — multiple AC outlets, USB-C ports, and even car input make it perfect for everything from camping to emergency home backup. On top of that: recharging is quick, the design feels premium, and the IP56 rating gives peace of mind if I ever use it outside.
