  • Nice quality, does what it should
The media could not be loaded. One of these tool also will make your life so much easier if you are planning on planting a large quantity of seeds in your garden the spring. This one feels heavy duty, and fits great in the palm of my hand.

  • Excellent Craftsmanship and Value
I’ve been gardening since I could follow my parents around the yard some 60+ years ago so I have some nice vintage garden tools in my collection. However, my dibble was really lacking; all I had was an ugly plastic spike with no measuring increments. When I saw this dibble (dibber in the UK), I thought it would be a pleasure to use and something I’d pass on to the next generation. Sure enough, in hand, it is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. This dibble is more lightweight than it looks which is a plus for older gardeners. It’s 11 inches long and made of smooth, shellacked wood that is riveted into a stainless-steel spike. The spike has one-inch increments embossed into the metal from 2 inches to 5 inches to allow for easy depth measuring. I found the size of the tool to be a little large for my hand but I’m a petite woman; my husband had no problem with it. I use a dibble for propagation. I stick a LOT of cuttings and a dibble is my choice of tool for making precise openings in the soil of cell packs or trays to accept cuttings after they are dipped in rooting hormone. I also use it for making holes in the soil of pots to accept seedlings transplanted from trays. And it’s handy for planting onions and garlic as well as small ornamental bulbs like crocus. It’s a bit too narrow to make a hole wide enough at the bottom for large bulbs like daffodils and tulips which require a depth of 6 to 8 inches. At less than $10, this is a versatile tool with workmanship that rivals my vintage tools. I expect to get many years of use out of this dibble and am thankful to finally have one that fits my personal aesthetic. It’s a pleasure to discover a tool of exceptional quality at a great price and I recommend it to other gardeners as an excellent value. ... show more

  • Helped me plant 100 anemone bulbs in 45 minutes — amazing… plus it’s beautifully crafted
Review of Esvopa Seed Dibber Hand Dibber Bulb Planter Tool, Stainless Steel Garden Dibber with Wooden Handle for Planting Seeds, Bulbs, Tulips, Daffodils and Flowers Even though it’s winter here I’ve already used this amazing tool 4 or 5 times. In my potting shed I’ve mostly used it for planting cuttings in pots (see my photos). Poke it into the soil, pull it out slowly (so loose soil doesn’t fall back into the hole), and insert the cutting. It so fast and easy! I had a bag of 100 anemone bulbs that I never got around to planting in autumn. I just didn’t have the energy to dig 100 holes, or 50 bigger holes for double-planting. These bulbs are small, like the size of a big macadamia nut. SO… enter the dibber! I waited for a warmer day after a winter rain, so the ground was not frozen or hard. It took me less than 45 minutes to poke this dibber into the ground 100 times and drop a bulb in each hole. A quick pinch with my gloved fingers closed each hole. Amazing! Besides being super functional and useful for any gardener, this tool is beautifully carved of hard wood with a solid stainless steel poking tip. The tip even has depth markings on it. What a pleasure to get so much use out of a beautifully crafted tool, and all for a very affordable $9 (at review time). Earns 5 stars because it’s a beautifully crafted garden tool at a great price. ... show more

  • A versatile garden tool I never knew I needed!
My gardening tools are limited, so I was glad to have the opportunity to order the Seed Dibber Hand Dibber Bulb Planter Tool, Stainless Steel Garden Dibber with Wooden Handle for Planting Seeds, Bulbs, Tulips, Daffodils and Flowers Pros; Well-constructed with ergonomic wooden handle Easy to use Creates uniform holes for planting seeds or bulbs at precise depths Quality construction with wooden handle and stainless steel tip Versatile - can be used for soil aeration, gardening stakes, planting I am a minimalist gardener (minimum time/effort) and so have not invested in tools beyond the basics. When I read the tool description, a lightbulb went on. I immediately thought of a multitude of potential uses. So far I have only used it to plant a few seedlings and dig out some weeds. But this is going to come in handy when I plant, dig up, divide my flower bulbs, plant seedlings, transplant plants into bigger pots, or into the ground, digging a hole for tomato stakes, etc. No more guessing about digging a 5” hole to plant my tulip bulls. No more digging out holes with my glove-tipped fingers, or my bare hands to plant seeds. This tool is extremely well made with its ergonomic wooden handle and corrosion-resistant stainless steel tip. Honestly, this is the garden tool I never knew I needed! At the current price of $8.95, it is a very good value. ... show more

  • Garden Essential
This seed dibber has quickly become a favorite in my gardening tool set. It’s sturdy, beautifully crafted, and does exactly what it promises....helps plant with accuracy and ease. The wooden T-handle feels comfortable in the hand and gives good leverage, even when pushing into compact soil. I’ve used it for everything from sowing vegetable seeds to setting flower bulbs, and it’s made the whole process quicker and neater. The depth markings are clear and helpful, eliminating the guesswork for spacing and root depth. It’s a small tool, but it makes a noticeable difference in garden organization, especially when trying to sow rows evenly. The stainless steel tip is strong and hasn’t dulled or bent, which is a good sign of durability over time. What I Like: Solid and smooth T-handle for a comfortable grip Depth markings are easy to read and actually useful Strong stainless steel tip....no bending or rusting so far Makes seed sowing quicker and more uniform A thoughtful, well-made addition for any gardener Concerns: No complaints so far....it’s simple and it works exactly as expected This is one of those tools you don’t realize you needed until you use it. It’s made gardening more efficient and enjoyable....and it feels good to hold something so well-made in hand. Perfect for both beginner and seasoned gardeners alike. ... show more
