Description

Secret Hitler is a dramatic game of political intrigue and betrayal set in 1930's Germany. Players are secretly divided into two teams - liberals and fascists. Known only to each other, the fascists coordinate to sow distrust and install their cold-blooded leader. The liberals must find and stop the Secret Hitler before it’s too late. Each round, players elect a President and a Chancellor who will work together to enact a law from a random deck. If the government passes a fascist law, players must try to figure out if they were betrayed or simply unlucky. Secret Hitler also features government powers that come into play as fascism advances. The fascists will use those powers to create chaos unless liberals can pull the nation back from the brink of war.

The most fun you’ll ever have lying to your friends
The game allows for scheming, deep thinking, and so much fun. It can be tough to learn at first, but I promise you won’t stop playing for hours once you get it. If you love “imposter” type of games, you need to try this out! Also makes for a great gift for someone who loves board games.

A True Masterpiece! I'll tell you everything you need to know
If only I had the words to say what I want to say here. I have massive respect for the maker(s) of this game. The level of design that went into this game is nothing short of brilliant. This game is not only perfectly balanced in general but impressively balanced on all levels of play, both casually and competitively. I can't stress how rare that is! Most games like this can only be enjoyed on either a casual or competitive level but this is a game that demands everyone to play it. All my friends love it and are completely obsessed with it. I am normally the one trying to get my friends to play board games, and sometimes that takes a lot of effort to entice them. This game changes that. Everyone consistently talks about the next time we can all play again. This game has a 4.9 star rating for a good reason. Spend the $35. It doesn't break the bank. For all the extra hours and hours I got to spend with my friends because of this game, I'd say it may have been the best $35 I will have ever spent in my life. This game does have some minor draw backs. 1. It requires 5-10 people. I have found this best works with 6-10, though 8-10 is ideal. I specifically like it when it is harder to win as a Fascists, so 10 or 8 player is my preference. 2. It isn't quite a family game. Some say this game is more suited for ages 13+, but really I think its best enjoyed with ages 16+, or even 18+. I have seen this game rated as a 1.74/5 complexity, but that may be misleading. Like I said it does a great job at engaging all audiences, but there is a lot of depth to it. It is about as complex as Among us. There are some people that play it for fun and some that are really good at it. There are a lots of opportunities for 200 IQ plays as well as putting your impermeable acting skills to the test. I think that covers it. Now go give it a shot! ... show more

Easy to learn and play. Appropriate for older tweens and teens.
This game is SO MUCH FUN! I teach middle school history and I played this with my 8th graders even though it says it’s for age 17+. They loved it! I highly recommend as a party game or even classroom game for 7th graders and up. It does allow for “assassination” so it may not be appropriate for every school or classroom but honestly I wish there were more history games like this. Once you understand the rules it only takes about 30 minutes to make it through a round. I played with the max of 10 players but I’m going to order another one so my larger classes can play. ... show more

Amazing game
Love playing this game with my family and friends. The games go for a perfect amount of time, and most of the time is spent arguing over who is the most guilty, creating a longer, but fast paced experience. It’s easy to pick up, even for younger players, and is hilarious to play with most groups.

A fun game!
I love this game, and I love sharing it with friends and family who've never played it. My brothers got their friends into it and it has created so many fun memories!

Way more fun than anyone expects.
I think we've found the optimal number of players is 7. When explaining the concept, everyone groans, but then you play it and even non-boardgame people love it.
