As expected, Seasonic has the most premium feeling PSU out there. There's just no match. Corsair's plastic junk has nothing on this. Pros: - Tons of wattage, enough for any GPU. - Premium construction. The PSU looks good. Really good. You can tell it's quality material. - I've never heard the fan turn on. - Includes any and all PSU cables you may need. And these are good, flat cables. Much better than any sleeved or other ones. - The GPU cables they include with the newer models are single 8 pins rather than the old 8+8 pin ones. You're supposed to use two separate cables for your GPU, so it's good to see them correct a common mistake of powering your GPU. I was really impressed with this change. Cons: - Motherboard cable is a little beefy. You may have trouble squeezing it through whatever hole in your case. Luckily, my case had an extra opening you can run it through. If you want the best PSU you can get, here it is. The only way it could get better is if they made a fanless version with higher wattage. ... show more

Extremely silent, the build quality is a dream. I am currently running a 10900k + 3090 FE system and playing all latest AAA titles with 850 watts. I was very worried about 850 watts and was really looking for 1000watts but it was all sold out. Luckily Amazon had Seasonic TX-850watts. I had never before owned a platinum quality PSU before. I had heard about the goodness Seasonic brings with PSUs. This PSU is a gem. The whole experience with packaging, cables, presentation and performance - 10/10 all the way. Its sad that the PSU is one component fully hidden. Only you know the heart of the system! Highly encourage anybody building a PC to never compromise on the PSU - avoid being penny wise pound foolish! Highly recommend this PSU - IF you can get one at msrp ! ... show more

the most consistent power supply I have ever had. i have had other power supply that was 850W platinum or gold, and none of them drew the same consistent Wats my system needed. I have noticed a difference in overall system boost speeds.

It's incredibly quiet when powering my RX6800XT! The cable's look gold plated and the unboxing experience is very premium with it's own textured sleeve. I will definitely be buying from Seasonic again in the future!

    • Beautiful, quiet PSU -- ready for the nextgen upgrade
I bought this in advance of my next system upgrade. I swapped it for a Seasonic Prime 650W because my next upgrade (very soon) will be to a 10700k or 10900k (overclocked) with an RTX 3080 and I wanted the extra headroom. The recommended PSU wattage for this config is in the 750-850 range depending and I felt that might be asking too much from the 650W. The 850W is just as nice as the 650W. Very quiet and I love modular cables. It was also nice to see Seasonic providing the 12-pin GPU cable free of charge (with proof of GPU purchase that has a 12 pin connector) ... show more

If you want the highest quality 850w power supply look no further, but do you NEED it? Probably not, but if you have the cash to burn and are building a system with the highest quality components you won't be disappointed
