Tested them out on my hands in the bathtub first. I could feel the water but my hands/arms were dry. Only after I started spreading my fingers and stretching the material did a LITTLE moisture make its way through. But o figured it wasn't enough to return them, and when I wear them in water shoes I won't be stretching them that much. Tested them in the river today while kayaking. Waded out about a foot deep doing a normal portage in and out in a really cold river in about 38 degree air. The socks kept me totally dry. I deducted one star because they do absorb moisture and lose their warmth, and also that if you move a lot in the water some can get through, and also because they are actually pretty warm by themselves when dry. But I love them and recommend them to you.

The socks are well made and probably will work well. I wear a size 10 womens shoe. So according to the amazon description, I wear a medium. Socks arrived. Too small. The sizing on the socks says a medium is 7-9. I'll be exchanging for a large.

These are hands down the coolest socks EVER. Needed socks to fly fish in but not get my feet actually wet. Perfect my feet were totally dry and I was in the river for a good 48mins before I felt any temp change. Yes their expensive socks but these are worth the money

This is perfect product. I spend a lot of time outdoors and when is cold my feet are getting wet super fast. This helps to keep them dry and worm. Huge help for biking and scooting.

I was sceptical of the value but after 6 days intense riding in Iceland with too many river crossings to count I am a big fan. 2 pairs lasted the full week and my feet didn’t sweat or get wet…. Despite boots taking a soaking a number of times. Feel a bit wierd on your feet at first but quickly mould into boots and feel like a normal riding sock. A+ product.
