We have use this many times on our boat. The lake that we live on is mostly rocks at the bottom. Unfortunately, is not always able to snag on a rock. So we do have to yank it a few times to get it to work. It could be the fact that our lake has big rocks at the bottom that it is not as efficient.

It’s a nice anchor, it’s not as heavy so it doesn’t hold the boat well in deep areas or if there’s high waves but it does do the job and we liked it so much we ordered a second one

Good anchor, but lost it at the lake, anchor came off the chain even though clip was still on the chain. Ring on anchor must have come apart? I ordered another one, so far so good

I have a 23' tritoon and used this fluke anchor and was had trouble keeping my boat in place in a shallow water area on my lake. It worked for the most part but if it was really wake-y it would come up. Since it is pretty lightweight, I will keep it for a decent backup anchor.
