For this to work, the lenght needs to be 2 or 3 times longer otherwise its only connecting to very low part of the post and not strong enough to hold the weight of post and fence.

I was impressed with the quality of these stakes. They are heavy and sturdy. They come nicely packaged with a variety of screws. I screwed the stakes into the back of my wood screens so they don’t fall over in the wind. Use a rubber mallet to pound them in do minimize scratches.

I got these to prop up the 4x4 gate post on my fence. It's leaning from the weight of the gate. These are probably going to be good for some lighter duty purpose like the 2x2 posts around my garden, but that heavy gate post treated these like a rented mule.

These post supports are just what I was looking for to add some stability to my aging wooden fence. They are very well made and super easy to install. Just pound them into the ground (not hard due to the design) then attach them to your post with screws. Easy. No complaints.

    • Incomplete hardware
The product is as described. However there wasn’t enough screws included to use all 10 pieces. I had to use what screws I had around the house. I can’t finish the project. I’m lacking an entire package of screws.

I have not actually used these yet but after seeing the pieces I know that this is exactly what I need to lengthen and stabelize my damaged fence posts.

    • Give better support to my wooden mailbox post
My mailbox was wobbly and I hammered 4 of these posts,one on each side of the post into the ground and using the included screws I attached them to the existing post. My mailbox is now straight and firmly in the ground . The device performed as expected and I’m fully satisfied with the results. I would recommend that they can be used even in a new installation as it will just be a few years max and your mailbox will loosen up. When you hammer it is put a piece of wood between the hammer and post to avoid chipping the paint and if you do chip it use some touch up paint to avoid rusting ... show more
