  • Just what is needed
What an awesome tool for installing long board and getting them to be straight. So easy to use once you get the process.

  • Really helped out!
Quality is good, could be more sturdy, but still does what it was designed to do, easy to use

  • Great for straightening Deck boards!
Worked great to push or pull warped boards into place. When positioned right, will hold board in place to allow Screws to be installed. Very sturdy! Great deck tool!

  • Great tool for laying deck boards. Just wish it would fit a double joist.
Was replacing the deck boards and did not want to redo the joists. This tool made straitening the boards easy but even after moving the pin it does not fit a double joist. Why a 2.8" gap not a 3.2" gap? Thought about drilling another hole for the pin but ended up using a piece of wood and crowbar for the few times I needed to press near the double joists. Would recommend. ... show more

  • Great leverage
Used this to put some new deck boards down that were not entirely straight at some ends. The leverage is great to have when you're by yourself. Boards were pressure-treated 2x6s and this moved them over easily.

  • Don’t purchase this. Junk
It’s junk. Don’t buy it. The removable cylinder caves into the tool and has to be constantly adjusted.

  • Great tool for putting the lumber in its place.
It’s not very often that I get a chance to build a deck. If I have a customer who needs one during a remodel I just hire a sub and let the pros do it. They are faster and far better at it than I am. When I looked at this tool however I knew that it would be nice to have on those rare occasions that I do need it. I’m building a small outdoor stage for photos and karaoke for a good friend whose daughter just graduated and received her acceptance letter from Stanford. It’s a really big deal for his family and his community of friends. They are having two gatherings this weekend with quite a few people involved. I’m using reclaimed lumber I’ve collected and stored properly for years. I try to keep the best stuff but some of it It is worse than the twisted junk that you receive from the lumber yard now days. This tool puts lumber in its place without any hassle. It’s quick, easy, you can use the lever by pushing or pulling it and just set your knee or foot on it while you secure the board. It’s a great time saver and lets you use both hands while fitting wood on a deck. The only drawback I have seen is that the adjustable pin won’t spread out enough to place 2 lengths of 2 bys nailed together. That’s a pretty easy problem to fix since you just move it to the next joist. ... show more

  • Could've worked, but...
Disappointed to open package & see that a key piece of the device was missing. This delays my ability to move forward & finish my deck. Disappointed.
