I am not an electeician, but if i were these would be in my box. These are the best invention for stripping wire. I use mine all the time, with no worries that they will fail. These do have an adjustable jig built in. You can adjust the amount of wire that they will strip, which is key to making clean connections. Excellent tool to add to your box, a must have. Makes stripping wires super easy and fast, and I definitely recommend it to save yourself time—but if you don't get the length right the first time, you'll have issues with the clear plastic coatings and it won't cut as cleanly with this tool, so don't get rid of the basic strippers for when that happens. ... show more

Works exactly as advertised. Easily strips and cuts wires of different gauges and for the most common gauges doesn't even require adjusting when switching between them and it still works perfectly. Always had issues with nicking a wire in a stranded set or cutting the rubber to the right length before I got this. Now I can do it in 1/10 the time with 10x less issues. ... show more
