I purchased this jacket for an extended trip to the Netherlands from the US for almost three months. and as such it needed to cover the spectrum of three seasonal temp changes and daily wear. All of which it did wonderfully through cold, rain, heat, and wind. I was a veritable 'inspector gadget' of daily items we used. From camera gear to first aid kits, sunglasses, phones, tablets, documents, and things we bought on our daily excursions and had to carry, the list was extensive. Through it all the jacket was wonderful, with the following suggestions to Scottevest. The velcro stitching, every spot, from the inside pockets to the sleeves had trailing threads that either unraveled or were unfinished. This caused both inside pockets to 'lose' the velcro and the sleeves to be partially useable. I don't know if just my jacket had this issue or if it is a manufacturing issue with others but I wanted to share both the high praise of this jacket and the mild inconvenience of the stitching issue of the velcro. I don't know how (or if others) have had this issue and how to resolve it, but I did not want to have it go unmentioned. I would have shared some pictures but now that we're back from our travels the interior pockets no longer have the velcro and the sleeves don't render well (black on black) but if asked I'll be happy to try. All in all it's an amazing jacket and I am very very happy I have it for my future travels. I also highly recommend the jacket especially if you carry a lot of photography gear.

I bought this jacket for my husband for our upcoming trip to Europe. In the summer when we travel I am forever handing him stuff to put in his cargo shorts so we thought for our winter trip spending three weeks in Europe this jacket would be perfect. I’ll resubmit a review after we return to comment on how the storage worked for us. I can say we ordered his regular chest size and there’s plenty of room for a nice sweater underneath and still great movement for arms. Taking the sleeves off was cumbersome and not a quick process so I don’t think that could be done on the fly it would require stopping what you’re doing and allowing a few minutes time to remove the sleeves. I can’t comment on the weight of the jacket fully loaded with electronics and gizmos or how well it passes through airport security until we return. One of the things that impressed us to buy this jacket was the video stating load up your electronics take the jacket off and let everything pass through security at once. I will comment on how well that process goes after we return. If I could say one thing was lacking it would be a heavy duty loop to temporarily hang up the jacket on a hook so as not to leave an indentation in the fabric. Update on jacket- July 2, 2022. Exactly like the Scotty jacket video states, fully loaded with all of our electronics and gizmos my husband took it off put it on the conveyor belt to go through security and it passed through just fine in seconds. Did not have to take anything out of the jacket for inspection. This was the case for several countries in Europe. It was a little heavy for me to hold but he handled it with no issues wearing it and carrying it. It was very convenient to have everything very quickly at our fingertips. No searching through multiple bags. I recommend this jacket for any age group that travels frequently and likes to have all their electronics and gizmos quickly at hand. For our upcoming winter trip I will have the woman’s vest. My hope is to eliminate any additional handbag or Crossbody bag.

So far I love it, but now the test comes at the end of the month when we take it over to Ireland ! Love all the pockets ! Looks like ill be carrying everyone's stuff !! Ill let you know how well it holds up when I return ! Well back from Ireland and this was my best purchase ... from keeping me dry on the golf course to the rainy evenings ! I would buy again !! At one point I had so much on me from beer to iPads to a bottle of Jameson ! Thanks

Key chain get ripped off on the very first day of wearing and was actually an unnecessary accessory. The outer hand pocket openings should be much larger. There’s a long back horizontal pocket running at the back accessible by one of these outer small side pocket openings. This pocket should be large and accommodative enough to slide a small vest or sweater without creating much bulk. In fact both right and left side pockets should reach the same pocket (two openings) so that one could slide a vest from one pocket and position and pull it from the other pocket using both hands. The outer fabric may be ok but lining material (especially for pockets) should be much better and tougher. It looks like pockets can get holed very easily.

I bought this for Traveling with, I am soon going on my first flight with it, it will save me carrying a ruck sack for my Apple products. I bought it bigger than I needed, as I wanted it loose, it fits perfectly apart from the sleeve length, this such an excellent design, they have fitted Quality straps with Velcro on the inside of the wrists, it fits perfectly!!!

I have been waiting for this product to be in stock since March - This is a replacement for a ScotteVest jacket I have been wearing for almost 10 years. The only things wrong with the old jacket are a sleeve zipper broke, so I sewed the sleeve on and the zipper for the large interior pocket won't zip - Main features for me - removable hood, removable sleeves and all the pockets. I have worn my old jacket in 10 degrees
