I don't know that anyone has ever been genuinely excited to review toilet paper, but here we are. Is it weird to have a favorite toilet paper? Well, either way, this is my favorite! If you're familiar with Scott 1000, this is exactly what you'd expect. It's a basic, no-frills, septic-safe toilet paper that lasts a surprisingly long time because the rolls are huge. It's definitely on the thinner side since it's 1-ply, so if you're someone who prefers ultra-plush, cloud-like luxury toilet paper, this probably isn't going to win you over. That said, it does what it's supposed to do, works well for septic systems, and the rolls seem to last forever. I bought the Scott 1000 8-roll pack for our home with a septic system after dealing with clogs from thicker toilet papers. Each roll truly has about 1,000 sheets, so we change rolls way less often than with big-box brands. It dissolves quickly in tests and hasn’t caused any plumbing issues after a couple of months. It’s a solid 1-ply: thin but surprisingly strong and not too linty. Not as plush as my old 3-ply, but perfectly fine for daily use and much gentler on our system. Great price for the quantity. Pros: Septic-safe, long rolls, good value. Cons: Can feel a little rough if you’re used to ultra-soft options. Highly recommend for anyone with sensitive plumbing or on a budget. It is thin paper, but we have a grinder pump for sewer and it works better with this. I have been using Scott products for a good while now.
