It works well, but keep in mind that vinyl electrical tape commonly has lead and/or antimony in it as a flame retardant. This has antimony. Search up the Material Data Safety Sheet (MSDS) to see for yourself. This is why it's bad to put on kids' karate uniforms and suchlike. I mention this because I hadn't known until recently, and was startled to learn it. It's good to be aware of such things. I'm using this electrical tape to repair a game controller wire, and to cover up an annoying light on my air purifier, which shows it has gone into "night mode," and thus shines annoyingly brightly all freakin' night. The tape works well for both purposes. As electrical tape, it has great adhesion and works as it should to protect the controller's wire. As a cover-up on an appliance, its black color plus its adhesion both makes it stay in place, and blend in perfectly with the device it's used on. ... show more

I've been using this for a craft project involving a sketchbook, so I'm applying this to paper versus using it for cords etc. It's really sticky so I'm sure it'd work fine for actual electrical purposes, but it leaves residue on my scissors and fingers. This is my go to tape. The 33+ might be a little better but not by much and it can be expensive. The Duck and other budget tapes are okay for temporary taping for wire pulling and the like but if you need the tape stretch tight and stay on for the long haul use this or 33+.
