I have a 2005 Jeep liberty and it fit OK but you had to do some wiggling and adjustments and it doesn’t come with screws for the speakers even though I do have cheap speakers but it rattles or ticks when it’s too high the plastic smacks the metal frame of the door

Please keep in mind that this review is for the adapters and the Hyundai Elantra years 04-06 specifically. These adapters worked perfectly for me on an 06 Elantra EXCEPT for one thing, i had to drill new holes for my 6.75 speakers. I rated this product 4 stars because they did not come with any mounting hardware, not a real big deal but it would have been nice. My project consisted of 6.75 Rockford Fosgate speakers. In order for me to get these brackets to work i had to line them up on the adapter so that the 4 outer holes had enough space to screw on the original hardware from the factory speakers to the door panel. Just simply drilled new holes and everything is working as i intended it. To mount the bracket to the speakers i ended up using pan head screws with nuts, otherwise the speaker would not fit in the door panel hole flush with the mounting hardware from the speakers. Finally i lined under the bracket and the outer edge of the speakers with some 10mm adhesive foam tape to reduce rattling. I also modified the duct on the door panel itself, it looked like the speaker Surround was hitting it so i basically just took some cutting pliers and trimmed off some of the plastic. Also getting the speaker harness inside the door panel was a bit tricky, i ended up getting it in through a hole near the bottom left. *Just as a side note may not be bad idea to re electrical tape some of the wiring, on my car the original electrical tape had started falling off. 06 Elantra (XD/XD2) calls for 6.75 in front and 6x9 in rear. In order to mount my Rockford Fosgate 6.75, the steps above would had to be taken, but i believe if i were to have used 6 1/2 speakers then i would not have run into the issues i did. There's also a very nice guide on the Elantraxd.com Do It Yourself forums where you can make your own brackets, but i did not have the tools to make my own, worth checking out nonetheless. *Another side note, the adapters act as a nice spacer as well. Up to 2.75inch mounting depth speakers may fit with these brackets without hitting the Window glass when it's rolled down. ... show more

These didn't work out for the dumb boxes wrangler uses in the dash. But they did work for the sound bar speakers. Made installing them much easier. Great fit, great look. Some of the break away tabs are actually hard to break away. Had to use vise grips. Very sturdy

Expect these will need to be modified for your application (dremel w/sanding drum is best). Otherwise, it was easier to use these than fabbing up something from scratch for my vehicle speaker upgrade.

I bought these for a speaker upgrade for my 2016 Jeep Wrangler Soundbar. They were somewhat frustrating at first as these did not come with any mounting hardware. Leading me to believe that somehow They simply used the existing bolts from the jeep to attache the speaker to the bracket. They do not. I called up Crutchfield, When you purchase these from crutchield electronics, They do include a bag of assorted mounting nuts, bots, screws etc to fit your any speaker and they are about 5-8 dollars more expensive. This what this package was missing! After a quick trip to hardware store I got #6 3/4in flat head machine screws and bolts for 18 cents each. Attached my Kicker Cs65s to the Bracket then the Bracket tabs line up perfectly to the 3 Mounting points on the sound bar. Little hint, When removing the old speaker, be aware of where the LONGER tab of the 3 tabs is. For the jeep sound bar, it should be the one closest to the tweeter. When installing this bracket put the LONGER tab in that same spot for a perfect fit. Apply some foam tape behind the bracket and in between the speaker and bracket for I nice fit to prevent bass rattle. I'm giving a 4 simply due to no bolts, or instructions in this packet. But, after a while of fixing the issue... they do fit perfectly for 6.5 speakers ... show more

fit my 08 pt cruiser. Buy smaller speakers when installing: 5 1/2" or 5 1/4 speakers or else you'll have to cut the tabs. If buying speakers larger than that. The inner tabs will not allow for 6 1/2 speakers to mount to 6 3/4 opening. Dont make that mistake; Most pt cruisers have that 6 3/4 mounting. If you just want to buy 6 3/4 speaker replacements, you'll have to drill new holes and add metal support tabs. ... show more

used these to replace my rear speakers in my 04 Avalanche with factory bose system. i used 6.5 inch Kicker speakers which are bigger than the factory speakers that came out, and these mounting bracket’s did the trick for me. i was able to mount everything quickly and easily using the factory screw holes and hardware with no extra drilling or modification. ... show more
