In seconds and without tools, you can convert your full-face helmet to an open-face mode to meet changes in riding conditions or your personal preference. Whether you ride in full-face or open-face mode, both configurations also benefit from an integrated SpeedView drop-down sun visor, which gloved hands can easily access. A detachable peak visor is also included for use in open-face mode, giving you an added layer of protection from the sun's harmful rays, making it an actual open-face helmet. Great value for the money. Love the flip up internal sun visor, the XXL fits my big old melon, SOME road noise but not bad, quieter than my previous cheapo helmet. Chin vent is nice, visor flips up and stays up, you can also leave it up one notch for just a little air flow. The only gripe I have is small- the chin strap snap is tucked up a little far into the side, making it not super easy to snap. So far I love it! Plus I'm not a bot reviewer.

Couldn't find a medium at HD, Google pointed me to the manufacturer, Scorpion. My husband loves this helmet! Breathes great, the internal sun visit is amazing! He loves the different options! Less road and wind noise, the under chin thing keeps his beard inside and protected.

Great helmet for the price!! The fit was right on, according to their chart. Though, when I installed my Bluetooth headset speakers, it did make my ears cramped inside the pockets. (I didn’t buy the set made for the helmet.) I do like the modular design, being able to raise the entire front face, and being able to “transform” the helmet into a 3/4 style. Just FYI, the helmet comes with a clear visor, which is fine, since it has that cool sun visor that you can slide down with a “switch” on the outside. I bought the mirrored replacement visor to help cut down on glare, and it’s not tinted too dark and is probably okay to use at night. The wind noise isn’t too bad. And the helmet is pretty stable, even at 70mph in gusty winds. It’s not perfect, but I’m pretty impressed with the helmet so far.

Great helmet for the money. Comfortable I was in-between a L and Xl for size I ordered XL and it fits perfectly. Swapping from full modular to half helmet is easy . Built in sun Visor work Great and drops down low so no vision obstruction.

Exactly what I wanted

I needed an open face helmet to use in hot weather for my short - under 100 miles - rides on the Hannigan trike conversion of my beloved BMW K1600GTL. I wear a Shoei Neotec 2 for my long or cold rides. Removing the chin bar and face shield and attaching the bill is easy, so reattaching them should be easy, too, if I ever decide to do it. The red, white, blue, and black colors are attractive on the one I chose. Noise levels are high at anything over 45 mph so earplugs are a must. I haven’t installed a comm system yet, so I can’t speak to how functional one would be in this helmet. Ventilation is as you would expect: ample. The drop-down sunshield is excellent. I can wear safety glasses comfortably for proper eye protection, as the lining accommodates them well. I wish the left side chinstrap were about an inch longer. The snap for the excess right hand strap material is hard to reach. Safety? Well no open face is safer than a full face, but if I won’t wear it or won’t ride, that is unacceptable. So I accept the added risk. Otherwise, I’m an ATGATT rider, and always have been. For the price, I think this helmet is an excellent value and I recommend it highly. “If you ever wonder why dogs stick their heads out the window of cars, talk to a biker.”

Lots of creature comforts
So I'll get the bad out of the way first, the 50mm speakers for my sound system did not fit. The mount for my off brand cardo did not fit in the slot provided. (I made it work). Doesn't have the quick release chin strap. On to the good, the visor has indexing so you can put it up a little and it stays. The modular when it is closed doesn't rattle. the tinted visor is awesome (I have another brand with this feature and it is great). I just spent 4 hours riding, and I feel like the wind noise is pretty tame under 60. It is comfy, well vented. For what I paid - this is a good helmet. I can't speak to durability or effectiveness but it feels like it would do just as well as any other helmet I own. It is a little big in the tallness but perfect in the roundness of the fit.
