This helmet is very comfortable. Does well with damping the wind noise. I wear ear buds, and glasses as well that fit comfortably within. My glasses do fog up if I close the visor all the way. So I leave a small opening, and no more fog. *Matte finish does show more finger prints, but I already knew it would. ... show more

  • Great with a few caveats
Overall this is a pretty great helmet for the price. Scorpion has done a remarkable job at providing quality & sleek design at an affordable price. RATINGS: Comfort: Average There is fairly substantial pressure on the forehead when first donning the helmet; the pressure was substantial enough to cause a mild headache with use. Fortunately, the pressure moderates over time as the inner materials break in with use. Use the helmet a half-dozen times for 30 minute sessions to fully break in. Wind Noise: Moderate-Low The helmet encloses oneโ€™s ears well, which reduces wind noise. This same benefit is also a drawback if youโ€™d like to wear even the smallest earbuds-as they will likely become dislodged as you don the helmet. Size: True to size-Runs small. Fits as other XL helmets do for the most part. If skewed one way it would be to running small not large. Visor: Average The stock clear visor is as youโ€™d expect. Optional Smoke Visor: Poor The optional smoke/tinted visor is quite poor. Clarity is fine however it is not polarized, therefore, the sun casts a terrible glare. For the price it is quite appalling. For someone who prefers a tinted visor to wearing sunglasses it might be worth finding another helmet. Sunglasses: Poor The pressure on oneโ€™s temples when wearing sunglasses with this is very uncomfortable due to the tight fit. It is not recommended which is unfortunate given the poor tinted visor option. Subject head shape: Oval Head Size: XL Height: 6โ€™ Weight: 175 lbs. ... show more

  • Great for the money - probably buying a higher end one soon, though
I just got back from a 1k mi trip with this helmet. My Experience: The pin-lock clip broke within the first 10 opening/closings of the helmet. Their customer service team offered to send me a new shield; I'm waiting to see if that will happen. The wind noise is loud, but I'm on a naked bike so that's kind of relative. I have to have my earbuds maxed to hear them, and over 55mph I can barely hear my bike (not a loud one, but still). I'm not used to this style of helmet, but it is shaped to keep your head going straight - if wind hits from the sides it does push your head around a bit. Hunching down and using it as your windscreen is a lot of fun, though. The vents for the mouth and crown work easily and are handy when it's hold/cold. The cushions feel sturdy - 2k mi ridden with it so far. I can fit some earbuds in there comfortably, but not if they stick out. The fit feels great/true to size. It feels lighter than it looks. I bought some cheap retro-reflective triangles to give it some light in the dark - pretty easy to do if you're interested in that. ... show more

  • Snell rated, comfortable
I bought this helmet awhile back, because I had bought a no name cheap helmet as my first and didn't feel safe on the highway with it. This thing feels like it can in a crash and reused, dont recommend it but hey it feels good knowing you're head isn't going to go splat when it hits the ground. My only issue is the cheep pads for mine were a bit big but after a month or so of wearing it they've broken in some, and the head portion keeps falling down in the front near the vizor I don't know if the adhesive holding the velcro in has failed or if mine is a lemon butttt if I get to annoyed with it I can either glue it up or get a replacement. Also the front S badge can come off if you want to de-badge your helmet its only held on by some light glue and looks super great without it ... show more

  • Comfortable fit with very little wind noise.
Quiet helmet with good visibility, so far I like it.

  • I would look at other helmets.
This is a decent helmet. But if I could go back in time, I'd look for a different helmet. Pros *It's comfortable and protective (DOT rated and Snell rated). *I love the look of it. *It's bluetooth compatible. Cons *No pin-lock shield (it will fog up in bad or foggy weather, or if you're breathing heavily). *The visor now pops up 1 click when I check over my shoulder before switching lanes on the highway. *The glue on the forehead padding has worn off. The forehead padding is always falling down now. I've had this helmet for almost 4 months now and ride daily. I contacted Scorpion about this on 8/31/2020 and still have not received a confirmation that my replacement helmet has been shipped. *Lots of noise wind. If you have a loud bike, you might need earplugs with this helmet. I have to wear them each time I ride. *Your chin will get hit with rain if you're caught in the rain and don't have a mask on under your helmet. *Your chin will also get wind! Wear a mask if you plan on riding in the cold. I really want to enjoy this helmet, but it has caused me a few issues. I want to be able to ride without my visor fogging up, without the forehead piece coming unglued and falling down, and without having to wear earplugs. But these are sacrifices I've made with this helmet. ... show more

  • So far so good
I've been wearing flip-up, 3/4 and 1/2 shell helmets for the past couple decades because i wear glasses and like talking to my passenger or fellow rider without having to remove the helmet each time. I decided to get this full faced helmet for freeway rides for decreased wind noise and better protection. Just gave it a whirl and boy is it quiet at speed, sitting in a nice car with windows rolled up quiet. The absence of wind noise lets me hear my engine better also. The visor is crystal clear and peripheral vision is very good. It felt a bit snug when i first put it on but i got over it after a few miles. It also doesn't feel heavy on the head. I just got it today, so far so good, I'll modify this review if anything negative pops up. ... show more

  • Comfort, warmth, protection. Scratch.
I like the helmet a lot. But upon further inspection after removing the protective visor film, I found a huge scratch on the surface. Very noticeable when wearing it. And it gets really hot very quickly. Other than that, its a comfortable helmet. If not for the scratch, I would have given it 5 stars. ... show more
