  • It works
Color: White
My son loses or breaks almost everything he touches. So, after killing two, pricey, scientific calculators, i thought I’d try out something more affordable since it probably won’t last long. He used this for a couple months before summer and t’s still intact! He actually says this one works better that the two previous. So, save yourself some money and order this one. ... show more

  • A good basic Scientific calculator
Color: Black
If you're looking for the old-school type LCD display calculator but it's capable of doing more than just basic arithmetic, this calculator does a good job of it. The downsides are the LCD display itself which can't easily be read in low light, and of course the viewing angle of the LCD means if you're not looking at it directly, all of the numbers turn into black blobs... The display itself isn't very large either so if you've got bad eyes, you might have trouble reading it, especially with the exponents. It has a little plastic cover to protect it from having the buttons mashed while it's in your pocket (which means you don't have to worry about it draining the battery from accidentally being turned on). The whole thing is powered by a couple of small button cell batteries (LR44) that are easy to remove and cheap to replace. Since there's no backlight or large display you save a bit on power usage, but at the cost of being able to see everything better. I'm also not a big fan of the fact there's no dedicated off button/switch. I guess you could say that it saves you from accidentally turning the thing off in the middle of calculating something, but they could have made the same button with a 3 second press = turn on or off. That way you wouldn't just accidentally bump it and turn it on OR off. Overall I'd say this calculator is adequate. It's not going to make anyone jealous, and it's not going to do fancy graphs or anything, but it's also probably not going to get stolen either. Probably the perfect calculator for the kid still in high school that isn't taking a ton of AP classes. ... show more

  • OK for the price and basic use
Color: Black
I was trying to replace a 20+ year old Casio scientific calculator and decided to give this product a try. I like that this product has a display with two lines. So you can see the calculation and the result at the same time. It comes with batteries with is great. It’s a good product for basic scientific calculations. Something that would be appropriate for a high school student or early college. The product is extremely light, not my personal liking but for some people it might be great. I was disappointed that this calculator does not have engineering notation capabilities like my old Casio. It does have an Eng button so you can change scientific notation to engineer notation but doesn’t allow you to enter calculations in kilo, micro, milli notation. Overall ok if you just want a good basic scientific calculator. ... show more

  • Cheap Scientific Calculator
Color: Black
This is a nice, cheap scientific calculator. It is helpful to use doing statistics and calculus. It is what I used back in college 20 years ago. There is no graphing function on it. When I took advanced mathematics, we didn’t have any graphing calculators. The only drawback with this calculator is the display. it is small and not dark enough to read. You need to get the display in the right light to be able to read correctly. For the money though this calculator does its job very well. ... show more

  • Nice Calculator
Color: Pink
This calculator is a pretty pink color and definitely stands out. It has all the functions I need without having to spend an outrageous amount on a calculator. I did have to play around with it a bit to understand the functions but I feel that's on par with any electronic.
