Happy to find Big Wheels for my Grandson that his father loved riding as a child. Big wheels are so much safer than Bikes! low to the ground and easy to peddle. This one is Well constructed, excellent quality and easy to put together. I would have liked to have had a seat that changes positions as he grows, but made one out of cardboard and duct tape. The media could not be loaded. Definitely not the quality of Big Wheels of my generation!!! First one we bought lasted a couple months and the frame snapped in half where the handle bars connect - the front half including the wheel came off while my daughter was riding. Luckily she wasn’t hurt but it scared her tremendously. I captured the video from our security camera - quality is terrible but you can see how terrifying it might be to a child to have this happen. We thought it might be a fluke so bought another one. Literally within the first hour of riding time, the frame is bowing right under the handle bars (see picture). You can see when my son sits on it the front wheel pushes forward putting stress on that connection and causing the bowing. He only weighs 45 lbs and the weight limit is 70lbs. So I’m sure this one will snap the same way the previous one did. Also, my son can’t get it to turn correctly. The screw holes for the handle bars were not aligned properly and my husband couldn’t get a good tight seal when assembling it either. So there is some play in the steering. ... show more

It is always hard for a new version of an iconic product to live up to the rose-colored glass memories we have. We were all neighborhood legends on our Big Wheel, but this new version is built to create a new generation of legends too! Using both the the video instructions and the printed instructions, I found it to be a nice step-by-step how-to and was able to complete it from start to the final sticker in about 45 minutes. I like how they make it very clear how to access the instructions or their customer service team and I like the details like showing a visual of where to apply the stickers. Of course the real test came when my little one took it out for a spin, but the smiles on his face said it all. It is challenging to live up to a legend, but this one has done a great job! ... show more

I bought one of these for my son in about 1985. He called it Speedy and rode every day and everywhere until the front wheel split right down the middle. I bought this one for my great grandson to ride when he comes to our house. I hope he rides this one just as hard.

I approve of this lil ride except the stickers would not stay on. Needs better glue on stickers. It doesn’t affect the ride, but my grandson is not happy the stickers peel right off. It Texas, so it’s not too cold and it’s actually summer..they should stick easily.

I bought this for my grandkids, ages 8,7,6,5,4, & 3. They love it! Assembly was easy because of great picture and video instructions if needed. Some of the stickers came loose but a quick call to customer service had new ones on the way. I’ll make sure it’s wiped clean before applying the new ones. I like that extra pedals are included since some reviews noted that they had issues with them. It’s awesome that Big Wheel has been around for several generations! ... show more

Bought this in December 2023. Summer of 2024 it was used about 5 times in the driveway. Stored inside for the winter. March 2025 while riding in the driveway it snapped in half. My daughter is under 40lbs and was simply riding it back and forth in the driveway. Pretty sure I used to take mine off jumps when I was a kid.
