    • Excellent value! Just a little DIY velcro needed.
This is a very inexpensive helmet, but doesn't feel like it's as cheap as the price. It's actually rather decent, lower mid tier quality. The foam is firm and well sculpted. Fitment is excellent and there's ample adjustment available with the straps. The visor is supposed to be removable, but attempting to do so starts to look like it's going to crack the outer shell... so I left it in place. It's actually not too obtrusive. My only reason for not giving his 5 stars is the padding. There is default paddling already in place on the strap harness that wraps around your head. Then there's the two strips that are positioned over the top of your head. The pads are a little bit thin, but worse is the velcro. There are just two VERY SMALL little circles of velcro provided. It's not enough to anchor the pads in place very well. But, if you have some velcro on hand, as I did, I was able to cut some extra pieces that finished the job. Now the top pads are securely in place. I got this helmet for seasonal use at a relative's house that I visit in the winter, and didn't want to spent a lot of money. This was the perfect choice. The helmet is comfortable and does the job, for an excellent price (I paid $15). ... show more

I have gone back to bike riding after many years absence. I have not made any comparisons of this helmet to other products in the marketplace, but just looking at this helmet in isolation I think it is great. Helmets used to be fairly heavy and difficult to fit correctly. This is a breeze. It is light and airy and the adjuster makes it easy to get the right fit on the head. The chin straps also are easy to adjust. I have a relatively large skull and I had no problem getting a comfortable fit with this helmet. I am sure there are better helmets around at much higher prices but this is a great deal for the average rider. ... show more
