  • Perfect for tall 2 yr old
Style: Child Carrier
I wasn’t sure what to expect as this was my first time purchasing this sort of thing. My son loves it and I love it. I don’t like the flaps that come with it but I’m also on a small frame bike (5’2). Other than that we love it!

  • It looks like it would be more adjustable that it actually is
Style: Child Carrier
When I got the parts out of the box it looked like it would be more adjustable that it actually is. It was fairly easy to mount to the bike but once I did the seat was tilting slightly forward when it should be level or tilting slightly reclined. I tried adjusting the mounts in various ways and ultimately was able to get the seat level. I have a 2 year old and she was able to easily get out of the 3 point buckles that come with the seat. I switched them out for some 5 point high chair buckles that I had on hand. The safety bar also comes off easily. My toddler pulls it off while we’re riding, waves it around, drops it and says “uh-oh” 🙄 Then we have to go retrieve it lol. I haven’t come up with a solution to keep the bar in place yet. So this seat is fine, I bought it “like new” for like 60% off compared to a brand new one. But it has required some of my own creative adjustments to keep the dang wiggly toddler in it. ... show more

  • Buy it for your kids! Fixie bikes
Style: Child Carrier
Me and my fiancée has a fixies. Perfect for my 2 year old daughter when she goes on bike rides. I’m happy we don’t have to use the bike trailer for her anymore. She gets a big girl seat now. She loves it! And gets excited when we ride bikes every week. Also I recommend you guys get an stroller snack attachment (munchkin brica deluxe snack pod) for the front of the seat. My daughter has her water and snacks right in front of her, really easy to use. I have 2 of those munchkins pods. ... show more

  • Feels really sturdy and my daughter LOVES it
Style: Child Carrier
My family and I had rented a bike seat on a vacation we recently took where we rodes some bikes around. Our daughter loved sitting in the seat so we decided to buy one for our own bikes when we got home. After a bit of research, I opted to purchase this because (1) Schwinn is a reputable brand I've known for years (2) I really liked the slick look of this seat - after all, this was going on the back of my expensive MTB so the cooler it was going to look, the better... Installing took some time, but that is mostly due to the unique design of my bike's rear forks. I've taken it out a few times and there are still some adjustments I plan to make, so I wouldn't say this is a set it and forget it kind of system. You should always check the tightness of the bolts each time you take it out with a child, regardless. My one gripe (if you can call it that) is that Schwinn doesn't sell individual racks except directly through their company. My wife and I have different bikes and are very different size-wise, so having 2 racks attached to each of our bikes would make moving the seat between our bikes a very simple procedure. The only way to get the same rack and mounting brackets is to call Schwinn and order them, which will run you ~$60 including shipping, which is more than 1/2 of what I paid for the whole system. Other than that, we're very happy with this whole system and our daughter loves riding in this! ... show more

  • nice seat. superb value. not perfect - very noisy when nobody is in the seat but i have solutions for that
Style: Child Carrier
i'd give it 4.5 stars but that's ok. the seat is a decent design. nice quality. velcro was placed haphazardly on the underside of the seat so it doesn't line up very well with the mating sides on the seat itself, but it still sticks. no biggie. i am riding a three speed Jamis Earth Cruiser with full fenders, a giant Cloud 9 seat and extended seat post. i have put a massive amount of miles on this bike over the past decade or so. the brackets fit fine but it took a bit of finagling to get it all to mount evenly, etc. i am not sure how well this would fit on a smaller bike with fenders and a lower seat height. i'm a giant dude with a giant bike and imo this bracket system barely fits. i had to remove my rear seat post-mounted reflector to make room. i'm pretty handy and this was not the easiest installation to get it right and even. could be the bike and all the stuff in the way, i know. fitment of the plastic seat to the bracket base is not tight. it's SAFE, but not tight. that means....A TON OF RATTLES WHEN NO CHILD IS IN THE SEAT. and i ride this bike a lot w/o my son so that is just unacceptable for me. so, i figured out the rattling points. they are: - the seat bottom on the brackets - the blue foot cups in footwells of the seat - the front of the bracket "tray" captured in the part of the seat with the red knob my solutions for all of this were to place zip ties, one on each side, cinched down around part of the bracket and the seat underneath the gray cushion. that pulls the seat tight to the bracket. then i flush cut the zip tie ends after cinching hard, so they don't cut the cushion when you replace it. i had to remove the red cross key thing to do this but i was able to re-attach it once i had the zip ties tightened. i placed 1/4" foam seal tape on strategic points on the blue foot cups where they rub/tap the gray footwells of the seat. you'll see. i put the adhesive side on the blue foot cups so the foam will always be in contact with the gray plastic no matter where the blue cup is mounted. i placed folded paper towel pieces along the black bar that is captured by the front piece with the red knob then closed it and tightened the red knob. also, when baby isn't in there, i make it so the harness straps are running outside of the cross bar/grab bar and tighten them. i ride on some rough roads and have Vermin knobby tires and without baby, all of these mods have calmed down like 95% of the rattles. it's very tolerable now. my son likes the seat. there is no way i can get the spoke protector mounted but that is fine because his feet can't get to the spokes because of the seat height and fender. ... show more
