The media could not be loaded. A hour into a long project with this set and couldn't be more pleased. This mallet offers precise control, head doesn't mark or damage the wood handles, and you won't suffer fatigue for it's a light weight.

    • Swirly pattern on every piece
It works well and is well made. I really do NOT like the swirly pattern on the urethane. Can't they make it uniform? It's like they have a flawed manufacturing process. The injection mold point is also very noticeable. Couldn't they polish it off?

I have a woodshop where I use this mallet. I don't use it for carving. Instead I use it for chisel work on my wood handle chisels and for direct wood contact. It does not mar wood when striking because the coating on the mallet is malleable. The size and weight are perfect for these type of applications. ... show more

I applied a linseed oil/beeswax mixture to the wood. The next day I went to work. What can I say ? It smacks my chisels but doesn’t damage them. Great product
