  • Great value for an Ultrawide, minus some features
EDIT: Two months in, and the DisplayPort stopped working on the monitor. Still worked great with HDMI, and not losing any refresh because the HDMI standard it has still supports 100hz, but it was surprising. After switching to HDMI for a month, then swapped it back and it was working again. Not sure if it was just tired of working or what. Just something to think about if your display goes blank out of nowhere. *** ORIGINAL REVIEW *** While this isn't the highest refresh, or best color accurate monitor, it does do a fairly good job for what I was looking for. I purchased this while upgrading my PC, partly due to my old failing screen, and also because I wanted something that would handle SIM racing and gaming decently without breaking the bank. Pros: - Inexpensive compared to many others, at the cost of being only 100 Hz - Simplistic design that looks good on a desk - Multiple inputs for flexibility Cons: - Screen doesn't quite fill to the bezels - Lacking on some features - No driver support To address the cons, in order. The bezels on this monitor are relatively slim. Physically, 3/16" or so on the top and sides. Normally that would be outstanding, but the actual screen cuts off 1/4" on the inside of the bezels, giving you effectively bezels that are a shade over 1 cm on those three sides. Unfortunately there are no adjustments in the menu to adjust your X and Y sizes, either. I've thought about adding two more for a triple ultrawide setup, but that does give me a little pause. And speaking of the menu, It does contain at least one, if not more options (that I've seen so far) that don't apply to the monitor. On the rear of the monitor are a triangle of red LED accents. In the menu, there's an option that implies there are lighting modes that can be changed, but there are no actual options to do so. Under "Backcover Light" it gives a description "Change the appearance and modes of the monitor's LED lighting pattern" yet the only options are on and off. The Volume option says "Adjusts the loudness of the speakers." - except this model has no speakers. Perhaps it's to adjust the audio out jack, but if so, it's poorly worded, and if not, it's another non-existent option. And last, the lack of monitor support. While it's not specifically marketed as a gaming monitor, the bullet points do a good job of pointing out gaming features. Unfortunately, as a monitor, this installs as "Generic PnP Monitor" - using generic monitor drivers. While this works, it is definitely not ideal for an actual monitor. Strangely, my last screen was also a Sceptre, but a 43" 4K TV that I bought four years ago, and THAT screen at least registered by model name in the device manager, and not just something generic. All that said, considering the inexpensive cost relative to other similar screens of this size and curve, it's hard to beat this for the value. There are some others around the same price, but the Sceptre brand at least seems to be more recognizable, and as I have had other pieces from them, I decided to keep with them, and it serves it's purpose rather well. The 100hz is a welcome step up from 60, the screen size is a nice sweet spot between extra room but not feeling like you're too overwhelmed, and it looks nice on the desk. ... show more

  • Great value
Use the monitor daily for my job as an AI engineer. Great to have multiple windows up on a single desktop. Especially for the price tag, the picture quality is excellent! Only downside is that the power cord falls out fairly easily if I move the monitor arm holding it.

  • Great price for quality
I was needing a new some more screen real estate. I had two 1080p monitors. My primary monitor is a 23 in acer 144hz monitor and my secondary was a cheap small HP monitor (not sure what size but definitely smaller than my main monitor). I thought about upgrading to a third monitor but I was running out of desk space and the HP monitor didn't have any mounting on the back of it. So instead of getting 2 new monitors that I could mount, I opted for an ultra wide. I DO NOT USE THIS AS MY MAIN DISPLAY. I do a lot of gaming and I care more about refresh rate than resolution so I use my 1080p 144hz monitor for my gaming needs. I use the the sceptre as my second monitor for discord, music, web browsing etc. It's great for when I occasionally stream I can have all my necessary windows open on the screen and fitting comfortably (discord, obs, alerts, twitch chat). The resolution is really nice. It's hard to find other monitors at this size with a 1440p res, most are 1080. It allows me to fit a ton of things on it. I didn't find any dead pixels on it upon arrival and I couldn't see any visual issues with a static screen. The refresh rate is nice, but not butter. There is an obvious difference when going from my 144 to this 100hz. The difference is even more apparent from the small amount of testing I did for gaming. I would not recommend this as a main monitor for gaming. The colors are also not super accurate so if you work a lot with photos or film, this may not be ideal for editing colors. I will say the wide screen is great for music production or editing videos (as long as you color grade the videos on a more color accurate monitor first). If you can find the media that is in the proper aspect ratio (21:9) it looks amazing on this display. The extra resolution along with the size is very immersive. The monitor also comes with speakers but I don't ever use them so I can't comment. It has 3 HDMI ports and 1 display port, although if you want to use 100hz you need to use the display port. It does allow for multiple inputs and you can split the screen to display both. You can't tell from the pictures listed, but there is VESA mounting on the back. Currently I have mine mounted to my desk which I highly recommend as the default stand takes up a lot of space. The default stand is metal and has a good weight to it, but is a bit on the wobbly side and doesn't offer much for adjustment. All in all this is a great prodcut for my use case. If you are just looking for some extra screen space that comes at a nice resolution and price, this is for sure the product for you. ... show more

  • Great value, wishing I had more Hz it hurts
Bought this about 2-3 years ago and it's been my main driver ever since, what's a little crazy to think about is how well the value proposition of this monitor is compared to other brands. I use this for gaming and work, the screen estate is great for multitasking and the refresh rate is a step up from 60hz - however I do find myself wondering what an extra 44hz on this would be like. Given the price of ultrawide monitors at the moment, even finding anything comparable to the resolution and size + refresh rate of this model is hard to beat. It's a great daily driver, just not the #1 pick for online competitive gaming (if that's a factor for you). Outside of that, it's been working wonderfully ever since, been very happy with it and would advise people looking to get out of the 16:9 resolution and upgrade to ultrawide to strongly consider this monitor. Might not be top of the line or the best, but the value proposition is incredibly solid. ... show more

  • Bad Ergo's
Good screen, Great value Clamp that holds monitor to stand would not lock so it couldve been knocked off the stand Ergos are bad, tilt is not firm enough to keep it max tilt up Height is too low and stand is HUGE so a monitor stand would need to be roughly 12x24 inches to support the screen
